Gresham said he was glad to recommit to the club. "I'm really happy to get the contract out of the way and sign for another two years at St Kilda," Gresham told the club's website.

"I've loved my time here so far, love being around the club and the boys. I've made some really close mates already, so I'm looking forward to the next few years and what the future holds.

Going by the article we may be seeing quite a lot of The Gresh in the middle of the park next year, which won't surprise many, but imagine the dynamic with him in there amongst; Steven, Steele, Amro, Ross etc...

When you watch the highlights, you realise Gresh's maneuverability is just incredible.

He's making long time AFL footy players look stupid. And his setting up of players with hand and foot is really smart. Some of his handballs have shown amazing vision. We need more of these smart, creative players. They get other players into the game and open play up through tough presses.

But in only his second year I don't think we should be a lot of weight on his shoulders yet. I still see him playing a fair bit as a small forward where he was quite damaging with his accuracy on goal and burst speed. He needs to keep building his fitness and body up to be a genuine onballer. Keep rotating through the midfield a bit to get more experience there and learn the trade and he's ticking along very nicely.

Some of the options that he spots are just crazy. Agree about not putting too much pressure on him, we don't want another case of Billings fever. But he is easily one of the most exciting players on our list.
