Hi all,
Just wanted to plug a podcast a couple of my mates are doing. It is a light hearted and very one-eyed look at all things St Kilda. They've done 3 episodes now and the latest is a good one to listen to if you are interested in hearing about the intra-club we just had last Friday.
It is called the 'Saints Disco Podcast' (hopefully most get the reference) and to access it you can go to www.soundcloud.com and type in "Saints Disco" or find them on Twitter (@SaintsDiscoPod) or on iTunes too.
Each episode is about 30 mins in length and are very entertaining. They welcome feedback via email or Twitter so hit them up and we can build a nice little fan based community through them.

Nice....I've always thought there was a market for this sort of thing.
It's a little bit PC, and it's probably gonna have to stretch beyond the 30mins once the season starts and there's some actual news to talk about!!

Loved it... Subscribed.
Personally i like the old school, PC style of the podcast... Nothing too fancy, just meat and potatoes St.Kilda discussion. The 30min length of time seems to be about right for me at least. It's something light hearted i would listen to in the car on the way to work. Length of time for a podcast is contentious and depends on both what suits the listener, snd how much time you're prepared to dedicate to making it... I reckon maybe add a further 15min tops when covering games, or perhaps consider a second 15min podcast when the teams are announced to discuss that.
In particular, i like rolling discussion, it's clear that these guys put a little bit of research and thought into what's in the news so to speak, and the conversation is structured and covers the main points. There's a bit of humour there which is cool too.
My suggestion is to look at building your online community by making it easier for the show to be interactive... I think you need something other than a twitter for fans to be able to post questions, feedback etc.

Just wanted to bump this up (I promise this will be the one and only time).
The latest episode has just been released and in it the boys discuss the pre-season game against the Roos for those who couldn't get to the game or see it on Foxtel.

Don't stress about bumping when there's new podcast up. Doesn't annoy myself,in fact i am glad you did so I can listen as otherwise would have forgotten to check the soundcloud. Think the majority would enjoy a podcast discussing the saints! I'll be listening

Another one that's just started is 2 Guys 1 Cup AFL Podcast featuring Wil Anderson dogs fan and Charlie Clausen saints fan. I don't know much about Charlie but it's well worth a listen.
