We bloody well need a Petracca.

Bruce is going OK up forward

I still think intensity is ok.
Execution of skills letting us down.
Intensity is down from way too many.
Killing us more than skills.
Maybe - but I think its wishful thinking.
You are still telling yourself 'if we lift intensity we are still good'.
I know it is a comforting thought - but the turnovers and poor kicking is chronic. How many goals from turnovers have they got?

Gwilt 50m out in space tries to pinpoint a kick to Stanley on the boundary. Why?

What causes skills in execution to be eroded over 14 days? Pressure by the opposition players If so, protect your players to provide them with more time or run and support static players.

The issue I have is that we don't seem to be able to do the basics at times unless the team has a milestone. One of those milestones disappears next year (Lenny). What will happen to improve accountability? Too many passengers not creating or helping with the hard work. I am sure Richo will be onto this but performances with this weekly variance over the season means that we need a few more seasons before we are competitive. Hard to accept after recent history.

Good to get 2 goals but need another 5 now.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

What a stupid comment.

IT IS a team game.

Won and lost in the mid field.

Idiot.
Agreed. Dumb as you can ever get.

Gwilt playing well

Dempster and Schneider not giving us anything. Are they contracted? Get rid of the lasts remnants of Lyon I say.

why?
i think blokes slipping all over the place
not being able to grab the ball in one motion off the deck
marks going straight thru fingers
ball going sideways off the boot

by both sides

Have to agree. Midfield is where games are won and lost.
Armo is a terrific trier and warrior and I am full of admiration for him but hes just not that good.
Only Lenny is a true classy midfielder tonight.
(Jack just coming back so no worries with him as hes all class when up and running). Dunstan off his tucker tonight. Joey just going through the motions but really not all there. Sav down. Curren and Mav are good goers but not really AFL midfielders. Ray and Newnes good work horses.

No kidding - Dempster might still have some ill effects from his concussion and at least he tries.

Schneider on the other hand? I cant think of many excuses for him right now. Just a complete and utter passenger. And if we are very honest with ourselves we will admit he has been that way for much of the last 3 years (with the very very occasional good game).

Yup - It all starts in the midfield. I think we have some good ones in Armo, Jack Steven, Billings, Dunstann Curran, withArces to come in.

What I'm hearing is Petracca could be a Judd like player (please I'm NOT comparing).

I am really warming to that idea more than a McCartin or a forward.

Next season we have Roo, Stanley coming on, Bruce looking OK. Get a KPP next draft.

We need to recruit a couple more quality mids.

Love the bloke. One of my fave players.
A+ for effort. hes good - But hes not that good. Wouldnt be a top 5 player at any club above the bottom 6. Wouldnt be top 12 at a top 4 side.

Do you think hes in the top 100 players in the comp? And do you think a non-Saints fan would put him in the top 100?

The clear head-high free to Dempster was ignored, then they went coast to coast.
