Re the Savage free kick.
On a technicality -
if someone knocks the ball out of your hands
- how is that a tackle?
- and if you didn't get to dispose of it so therefore it is not an incorrect disposal
So what was the free kick actually given for if no tackle has been applied?
It used to be called "dropping the ball". Probably still is.

They have been letting the "ball knocked out in the tackle" go all year then he gets a mysterious incorrect disposal from someone swatting a ball out of his hand with out a tackle laid. Just a bad call IMO.

Thrilled with the outcome of this deal so far

BANG BANG

Big Ben will play for a long time and be a very good ruckman and leader for the hawks.
That's why it was ballsy to trade him.
It will work out well for both clubs, especially now Savage is showing why the hawks didn't want to lose him.

Anyone see Mcevoy last game? The hawks have really slimmed him down. Good move I think.

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

I know how Dal feels.

Never been dropping the call its incorrect disposal. And if someone knocks he bsll out of your hands and you had time to get rid of it its holding the ball or if you if you try to kick or handball but dont its incorrect disposal. If there is no prior then its play on and if you attempt to kick or handball its play on.

That's what I thought but they don't call it like that. You often hear the umpires say "it's been knocked out" and call play on. Much harder to get called for holding the ball or incorrect disposal these days.

Nice to see Shane Savage beginning to show some form, GOOD ON HIM! The trade between hawthorn and ourselves is working out quite well for both clubs.
