Just a quick note that I have been unable to do anything this past week due to a family health issue ... should be back onboard tomorrow and will chase down a few things like the issue with new member sign in, tapatalk ... will chase Battye.

Does nayone here know pphBB forum software very well? I am fumbling around the admin panel trying to work out stuff. Managed to add a moderator

Having said that I hope that everyone is being kind to our new moderator!

Just wondering... so we have a new mod'? How did that happen? What does one do around here to become a mod'? I'd like to know, as I wouldn't want to accidentally do whatever that is...



PS: Any luck yet with getting the pphBB forum software to block site access to hipsters?

PPS: I'd like to add a second vote to Gaz's call to ditch the GF sub-forums... with apologises to Matt, I just can't see why they are needed..., certainly not with the current size of this site.
Preferably ditch the Animal House too. We're all Saintas here... that sorta' abuse should be saved for the deserving... all those connected with the three 'C's (BJ excepted) or with those interstate bastard-child teams..., and for the white maggots!

About time some acknowledgement was given to the poor sods who make this place interesting to visit, otherwise you and your new mod would have nothing to moderate.

My sincere apologies but unfortunately I have had to spend the last few weeks at night visiting in hospital. The end is in sight by the weekend ... so things should resume to normal then and I shall try to pick up the pieces then.

Thank God for the sub forums...

The best invention this site has ever had, and possibly the last saving grace of sanity. It would be like a daily clean-up of Chernobyl if we went back to one forum.

(Or, as the above posts say, keep your mess off the forums to begin with )

The sub forums should be underneath the general forum tab in smaller font IMO.
That way you don't actually have to go into general area and then pick which sub forum to go into.
Saves clicking thru twice.
Just an idea if u keep the sub forums going.
