I'd like to offer to help Mr Magic if he needs assistance next year, chasing money etc.

I hope everyone from this year has paid up, and he's not out of pocket?

Last time I checked with him, there was still unpaid shares

Least we can have the banner updated promptly by the mods this time around to keep it in everyone's sight and mind.

Personally, I thank him for his efforts again this year, enjoyed the opportunity to participate and get to events. Even got to put faces to names, Saintdooley, backfromUSA, saint6 and others....even chatting about Kosi with Bernard Shakey

I recommend it, and hope we get it going again in 2014.

Totally agree. My guess is MM was out over a thousand dollars last year. it just isnt good enough.

Think we should take pledges and then have a cut off date for payment before we commit to any sponsorship.

People have to be in or out, and those taking their time to organise this must not be out of pocket.

If she can organize the selling of the shares I can continue with the 'back-end' stuff - collecting the funds and paying the Club etc.

We did have a shortfall in share sales last season so I think in light of that, we should look at only 1 player initially and then take another if the demand is there.

The Club is finalising the Sponsorship Program and will let us know details when they are released.
As an existing sponsor we have the 'first right of refusal' on any player we have sponsored in the previous season as well as first choice for a new player should either our previous sponsored player be no longer at the Club or we wish to change.

I also don't think it's too early to start selling shares now, even though we don't know exactly
who we'll sponsor
what we'll get for our sponsorship

It wasnt just the pathetic people who didnt pay, it was also due to not selling anywhere near enough shares for 2 players. lets sell one first. And even though people say sticky's dont work, they work a hell of a lot better than how we did it last year.

I'm happy to attempt a banner design for each stage, first up I can incorporate "taking pledges now" and then modify it to "payment due" etc etc

ok put me down for 5 shares for a start and if we do actually sponsor a second player then I will be happy to take another 5 shares for that one as well. Would suggest that we do not commit to the second player until we have pledges to sell ALL shares and people have actually paid up. we need the coin by this date
when the date comes ad up the coin
if you fall a bit short of a second player im sure the usual posters will chip in extra...again to make up the second

dont commit to anything till you have all the coin and give a cut off date that this has to happen by

I would be more than happy to grab a few shares for next year.

I think 1 player is a good start, at 2 grand each or there abouts I wouldn't go past 1 until we are certain we are going to have enough for the 2.

I had a call from the club early 2013 in regards to sponsorship so if next year is going to be that same as this, I'm sure we can grab someone last minute if enough funds.
