The one thing we can say even if some of the picks dont work out is we had a plan and stuck to it like glue. We wanted 3 high picks and got them. We wanted backmen and got them. We wanted a couple of semi experienced players and got them. Any person on here saying the club dont know what they were doing clearly doesnt know what he is talking about.

I think they achieved an objective..... Well if they snare Bruce and Longer.... Most certainly

At the end of the day

We'll have lost
Dal and Ben.... From our leadership group and some mid/late picks
Added Savage, Delaney, Longer and Bruce .... All fringe or developing and therefore speculative players and a teen pick?

From a list management point of view
I still don't understand Hickey, Trent Dennis Lane and the rookie situation??

We have added a ruckman in Longer who with Hickey will be our ruckman for the next 10 years.
We will add 2 key backman in Bruce and Delaney who will be around for the next 6-10 years, Bruce for 10, Delaney for at least 6.
We will add 4 midfielders to the list in Savage and picks 3, 18 and 19.
We have given up a slow one dimensional ruckman and a midfielder who will be 30 before 2014 starts.
Pretty sensational performance by all involved.
Hasn't happened yet but if it gets done then I'll agree with you.

It has all happened magnifisaint, Longer is a Saint one way or another, Delaney is done for pick 77, and Bruce is 100% guaranteed.
Only thing left is to see who we are left with at picks 3, 18, and 19.
Now this post is something that we should remember. So far, so good. No news yet on Longer or Bruce, but unless this poster is a merchant, we need to be cool and wait. I've seen sure things like this go belly up before so I'll believe nothing til it's announced officially, but it gives me great confidence to see the words "100% guaranteed" next to Bruce.

Shame the Draft is a month away!

Starting to think it won't happen! Don't think we'll get both in the PSD. If the Lions & GWS don't budge & we don't budge, we can't get both in the PSD!

We could probably get bruce in the main draft at 25… even 45… can't see anyone else grabbing him there.

Longer in the PSD… though I imagine Melbourne would be happily take him… but Paul Connors owes us one.

Jaxons Gun Jumped! 3,18,19, Bruce, Longer, Delaney. Still a long way off. How are we turning 41 and 25 into Lon ger and Bruce? Hoping he is correct. Don't see how it can happen. I'll tip my hat if it does.

All so negative here people, and impatient.
We will get Longer and Bruce and we will be holding all picks under 20.
Have some faith and relax.
So far everything I have told you has materialised.

Sorry mate. Just think you've had a good role, like that octopus in Germany predicting the World Cup Soccer!

Who's negative? Just can't comprehend how these deals will get done. Shed some light. Lions laughed at Hawks pick 18 for Longer and GWS have said today that the Bruce trade probably wont happen. What are we missing?

I guess when it comes to the crunch Brisbane and GWS will want something rather than nothing for these players…

We might be offering slight unders, but both players sound pretty ready to walk - to us.

To be honest pick 25 is way under market value for Billy Longer. That's day light robbery. Bruce on the other hand, as a young fringe player who wasn't a highly rated junior shouldn't cost more than pick 41. The problem is GWS have no need for pick 41 cos they won't use that pick. They may as well let him walk to the PSD. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

Really want all of this to happen, particularly after the disappointments of last year's trade period, but I'm happy to chill and back you in 8-)

We will get Longer because Bris will not lose him for nothing.
They have no choice but to deal with our position in PSD.
We can price him out of 1 & 2 because of cap.
Tippett went pick 11 last year in psd remember?
Hawthorn didn't have same luxury.
Bruce will be psd unless GWS wake up and read the play.
Pretty easy to comprehend.

25 & 41 is fair for Longer, as is 18 or 19. Very highly rated junior, just hasn't had a chance!

He was also Vic Metro skip wasn't he?

That would be a huge risk!

How often has a club taken a player that has genuinely nominated another club?

Ball - Collingwood
Jacobs - North

We could easily take one in each draft… but both will come to the table last minute no doubt.
