Markworth

Post: # 1401836Post Con Gorozidis »

Just looked at our list seeing where Savage fitted in and noticed Markworth will 22 at the beginning of next season and is yet to debut.

I am stating the obvious but clearly big year for him next year. Make or break his AFL career.

Yes strange - he is almost in the mature age recruit category now

Life is never more fun than when you're the underdog competing against the giants.

I don't think so Con...

Ideally he plays senior footy next year, but I don't think anyone should be expecting him to dominate.

He just needs to stay uninjured.

Was drafted as an over-ager (a year older than those regs). Knee injury has held him up but he has many attributes to be another Fyfe. Great size, speed, agility, athleticism etc. He was jumping out of his skin to play in the later rounds. His rehab went perfect. I'd suggest he plays NAB next year and round 1 with all things being equal.

I Certainly don't expect him to dominate.
Takes most players 30 games to get a real feel for it.
But I certainly expect him to show something. Cant show nothing.

Fyfe is 22 and has already played 70+ games.

I reckon Siposs is the one who really has to show something next year… 4th year?

Next year will be Danny's 2nd year in which he could show anything.

He has been on our list for 2 seasons, with the 2nd of those seasons a write off with an ACL injury.

Hardly comparable.
