FFS Dimwit. Swans salary cap is a joke!

Post: # 1396730Post saintspremiers »

The silly fat Turd will no doubt say Shytney still deserve the extra million in the cap after signing Buddy the year after Tippett.

The silly twat simply must be fired immediately if the Buddy rumor is true. .

The AFL is joke.

Not good for the competition to have one club throwing massive cash around...the Swans are looking for an instant fix and it may bite them on the bum. They need a couple of good half backs rather than an over-priced pair of forwards.

Milk & bread are just so darn expensive up there, it's amazing they can attract any players at all.

We play in a grand final, then can't afford to keep Zac Dawson…

The swans win a flag, then add Tippet & Franklin…

That all sounds fair and reasonable.

It's gonna happen. Buddy and Tippet fighting for space on the miniature SCG.
What a terrible decision by Sydney, he was the last thing they needed.

I just think of Sydney as The AFL. When they win the flag, it's just a null year.

It's not all bad. I'd prefer a null year than Carlton, Bombers, Geelong, Collingwood, etc winning the flag.

Ultimately, though, I'd prefer a fair competition at least on paper.

The picture dragit painted, really rubs it in your face as to what a farce it is.

Imagine if Geelong or Collingwood topped up with those two players after their flags? I would throw in the towel.

The AFL is joke.

I know who the joke is.
They are getting rid of players earning as much as Buddy will get. by the way did it help them this year getting Tippett.

I have no problem with cost of living allowance.
BUT
it should be applied at as an equally divided fixed rate to all of the listed players AFTER the cap is achieved.
It should not be a slush fund. While every other team needs to squash their payments between 95 and 100% Sydney have from 95 to 110%.

If it costs Joe average 20 thousand dollars a year more to live in Sydney, it doesn't cost Kurt Tippett 100 000 more to live in Sydney ( it would only be a fool like Fev that wouldn't be putting the vast majority of their earnings into investments or at least savings ).

Sounds like a good reason not to have a bigger cap surely?

The Swines salary cap is actually a wonderful thing. :D

This could be our chance to get rid of the dud. Ok, long way from Lorne I know, but they do have grass up there.

Actually, this post is a pathetic sick joke to accurately reflect the Swine's salary cap pathetic sick joke.

No idea. I dont think they should but look what has happened to brisbane since they lost their allowance. It is obviously so much harder to get home grown talent in those areas so most have to come from interstate.

Feck Sydney plugger. They've won 2 flags recently. Who apart from you on here cares if they suffer for a few years?

I dont know the answer to that. lets do a poll. I blame AD or AA for not being able to do a poll on here.

If that is true and they serve them in paper bags without a plastic lining I will spew up.

It is not a slush fund. It cannot be used on extra players.

It is divided amongst the players once the club meets the normal salary cap. Much of this bleating is from people who don't understand how it is administered. I have to admit I was one of them until recently.

The Swans allowance should only apply for anyone earning less than $200k.
If you need an extra 10% on top of your exorbitant salary then the club should offer a financial planning service (I'm sure the player's management does that anyway).

Trying to tell the public that a player on more than $200k pa needs a 10% living allowance is sickening!

Nobody is buying it, AFL...It's time to either scrap it or make it fair and apply it to each city based on economic data and cap it.
