Look I think we just have to accept that SW has his own very odd way of doing team selections. Most developing teams or teams out of form often make 4 or 5 changes a game yet SW doesn't like that path. Why he blatantly refuses to play Ledge is beyond me, especially when duds like TDL get run after run after showing nothing, not to mention Stanley being given too much of go considering his crap form for many weeks now.

i don't actually agree on that i was at the Richmond game and he works pretty hard off the ball. I was actually surprised. He didn't help himself by missing his shots last game.

Stanley has still played only 37 games- it's impossible to tell what he could be as he has been used out of position all year. He is 200cm and should be a ruck/forward. At the moment he isn't doing much but i don't think many tall guys come on quickly. Hickey looks pretty good as a prime ruck and is worth persevering with. He is still pretty raw but has done enough to show he has a bright future.

we couldn't get a ruck man on the field last year now we have 3 than can handle themselves to an acceptable standard.

No surprise there- he looked pretty bad, it was a pretty solid hit and he was obviously suffering from it. It's one of the good rules to come in the head high stuff, no one wants to see that happening regularly.

I like stanley a lot but wonder if this will do more damage to his confidence.

I'd like to see Roo sit this one out to be honest. Just reckon SW should be picking more games later in the season for him to rest up. It's going to be a cold and crappy night at Kadinia and Roo will push himself as usual and the Geelong players will want to work him hard.

What is he resting for though? Surely not next season. If he is fit then he should play, if he isnt then he shouldnt but no rest is needed.

Exactly..people are allowed an opinion but this aura of "Watters doesnt have a clue, I know better"???

Unless you go to every meeting and every training session youre just a mug fan. Some people need some perspective
