"LOYALTY UNITES US" March !!

For those who don't know, this will take place at 12.15 on August 25, prior to the Gold Coast game

**********LOYALTY UNITES US MARCH **********

Just a quick update. I just got off the phone from Rory and he has progressed the idea quite a bit. For a start, it now has a name. He is also trying to get the Moorabbin City Band to send us off on the march with a rendition of WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN. This will be at 12.15. He is also arranging a heap of "LOYALTY UNITES US" flags and posters for those who participate. He is also trying to get Spud Frawley involved (Spud will be at the ground for Fox Footy that day). He is also in the midst of arranging for some injured and ex players to join us. Those who are on the club's "Members E Mail List" will see something about this as early as next week !!

The march should start like the james bond movie " Live and Let Die !" .

An effigy of Dimwit or perhaps in good humour he could actually take part , will be ceremonially sacrificed , to which the band would start playing "oh when the saints " and then we just dance and sing during the procession around the ground !

Start & Finish is Gate 5 at Etihad. It involves one lap of the outside concourse !!

So can I take a "Saints Express" train on the Frankston line that links up in time for the march?!

Now that would deliver the goods. Saints express train was very popular last season. Get a few ex players on the train and walking from the station with the passengers to all join the march.

It's just a show of loyalty thingy that was Eastern's idea now taken over by the club (with his blessing). I've heard a rumour that serial media tart, now PM, K.Rudd, will be attending the march to get some extra PR.

Gday SP, I don't know where (exactly) that rumour emanated from (but have a shrewd idea ) but I really don't think you have anything to be concerned about, as even K Rudd would be reluctant to involve himself in a side currently in the "lofty" position of 16th on a ladder of 18! T Abbott? well the way he's going in the polls ATM he may JUST don the red-black-and-white budgie smugglers and join in!

I think you've misread that Jiggster. Even the LNP doesn't have a big enough lead in the polls right now for T Abbott to risk association with the mighty Saints !! But given the how quickly KRudd's honeymoon has ended, that may change by the time the march comes around and Tony may indeed be able to enjoy the luxury of joining us.

How cool would that be, having the next PM doing a lap of the dome with us !!
