GT tried this, and the umpires held a grudge the entire time he was at the club.

Nobody wins.

Some would suggest the grudge still exists today. Last night for example.

Unfortunately SEN in bed with the AFL. In the states they have sport stations not directly linked with the sports - hence not influenced by the sport either. Unfortuntely AD is the all mightly - Australia's version of a North Korean leader. Yes coaches should not be allowed to criticise umpires for many reasons, however Geishen ( the Ghost) should have a 20 minute presser each week where clubs/fans can submit via journo's questions requiring explanations for decisions or non decisions. Yes it will still be able to be vetted however at least then we can try and get an idea what this dimwit is expecting from the green magots when on the ground.
Players , coaches and administrators at club level are accountable for errors but umpires and AFL officials are exempt

The games stinks to high water .

It's in need of stewards to restore any credibility.

Embarrassing really. Our once great game has degenerated into this farce, unwatchable corrupt farce. Makes wrestling look like a genuine sport

So our differential against is TWICE as bad as the next worst side?

I don't usually go in for conspiracy theories, but WTF is going on between us and the umpiring department?

Are we just clumsy? Do our players mouth off too much? Does it hark back to Whispers in the Sky? Are we just the victims of a horrendous chain of unhappy coincidences?

I suspect the umpires think, it's only St Kilda ... no one will give a f*** if we give the points to a side with a chance of making the finals.

Of course, what the stats above don't show the free kicks that should have gone our way and didn't. I suspect we lag well behind in that stat also.

SEN should be renamed AFLN. Ever since the AFL bought in there's barely a breath of any other sport, 95% AFL. There's a World Cup Qualifier tomorrow night, but you wouldn't know it listening to the "Sports" station.

Well at least Healey had the stones to call Priddis for diving on "On the couch" tonight. And he asked why the tackle Riewoldt laid wasn't rewarded. Made the statement that the Saints fans were fuming and had the right to be.

What really annoys me is when they review decisions at the AFL ump meetings and announce that "the free was correctly awarded..." - This might be true BUT what about all the same bits of play where they haven't awarded a free? Why ping a guy for holding the ball when he is driven into the ground and has no chance to get rid of it whilst so many similar ones aren't paid!
This inconsistency is just terrible and systematically favours some teams (Eagles, North..) while disadvantaging others (esp Saints).
It is a disgrace!!
WHY??
Boy I'm peeved. :!:
Go Saints!!

Enjoy your trip.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
