Jimmy Websters story so far- Emma Quayle

Post: # 1344175Post saintbrat »

Rookie debut a family triumph

Webster didn't say anything. But his coach, Scott Watters, picked up on his mood.

''I talked to Scotty about it, and he said that he wasn't fazed whether I was in the VFL seniors or the reserves. He said he was just happy for me to be playing footy as well as I could and that he wanted me to concentrate on getting my injuries right and putting on weight,'' Jimmy said.

''He came to me and helped me understand, and it really helped me stop worrying. He said everything was about the future, and that's what I should concentrate on. I had a lot to learn about structures and the game plan, because in the juniors I just played. It helped a lot when he said that to me.''

very enjoyable read, I liked the part where he mentions how the club donated some items to him.

yep
anyone who reckons SW is no good needs to take a good hard look at themselves.

does he have a time machine that can take us back to 2009? NO

lets get a coach who can create a future. SW is the man.

I think what it proves is that Scott Watters is an excellent communicator & is good in a developmental sense. I don't know the rest of his attributes game day & won't pretend that I do.
