I appreciate your optimism, but imho it needs to be tempered with a dose of hard realism.

Gold Coast will not be playing finals this year. Neither will we. All the evidence points to a downward trajectory for us. We are finally now really paying the price for the generation of footballers we lost under Lyon, sacrificed in the quest to win a premiership, which we were very unlucky not to. Life isn't fair, and football is even less fair than life.


You'd think that we will finish above GWS, you'd think we'll still probably finish above Gold Coast, but beyond that, we'll be battling. It's been a long time since we've been down the bottom of the ladder......
