Great to see Freo lose, however just looked at they re draw and they re almost guaranteed 7 more wins for the year , which would give them 13. They re playing for the same spot as us and I can only see five "easy" wins . We need two more upsets for the year . It's in our hands I guess. We really need to step up one notch if we re any hope for finals.

Yeah I looked at their draw also.....definately easy draw coming their way......that said........anytime they travel to Melb theyre no certanties.....which makes our early season loss even more deplorable.

I thought he approached the game entirely different to how he did v Bombers at St Kilda.

Tried to win in a shootout, probably came closer than if they had attempted to lock them down.

Makes me a little more confident v the Bombers this year, because Saints have a bit of pace at their disposal now.

Yeah they haven't improved on last year! Just maybe LYON was a coach who couldn't get the final job done with an excellent list whilst at the Saints...only time will tell! Its great to see him under the pressure he is calma is such a leveller in life!

Probably not, but freo are 14th for points scored, with a % of 93. After they headhunted our gun coach, it's fair to say they are not where they want to be. I don't think Ross will get very long to get freo into the top 4.

They say defence wins flags but I would say that only one super defensive side (Sydney) has won one in the past 15+ years.

I think he would have been mortified with their 1st quarter. Don't think it was by design at all.

The 3rd however, was textbook Lyon. Totally dominate the play, strangle the opposition - yet only kick 5 goals.

Dominating play and only kicking 5 goals just isn't good enough. You need to be able to hurt teams far more than that.
