Re: Saad!!
Great recruiting. Great excitement. It's surprising how comfortable he already looks at this level. Will only get better.
It's nice to be looking forward with some excitement for a change.

Re: Saad!!
I had the impression that his head was up for the dummy but his body was just stuffed at the end of his first full game of football of AFL level. He'll be good for the run. Although it's too early to call, pick30ish? for Millera and Saad -> WOW!bergholt wrote:sold one of the worst dummies i've ever seen in the last - held the ball up then ran into the carlton player.
but generally showed a lot of good signs, looked quicker than last week, maybe more licence to use his pace?

Re: Saad!!
Saad, like milera, is just oozing with natural talent and flare.
It is glorious to behold.
Fantastic recruiting.

if it came down either pelchen or lyon. then nettlefold made the right call.
lyon would have driven our list in to the ground and wed have been stuffed.
Re: Saad!!
Yes fair call, and he was good last night.. I was 100% wrong with Stanley, who know looks to have star written all over him, and will be happy to be wrong about Saad..dragit wrote:Where are you Sobraz?
Not too shabby… hey?
I still think he has a lot to work on, but he has a number of weapons that can exploit the opposition and hurt them where it hurts most...
His pace and lateral movement is a major plus... Speed both offensively and defensively are great...
Must work on his clean hands overhead and at least creating a contest in marking situations (I know he's a small, but needs to add that string to his bow), and must work on his opposite foot... Right now, he has none, and will get worked out in time if he is so one sided...
But with him, Milney, Milera & Schnides, small forward options are looking great...

I'd given up on Stanley too last year, just thought he wasn't interested enough…Sobraz wrote:Yes fair call, and he was good last night.. I was 100% wrong with Stanley, who know looks to have star written all over him, and will be happy to be wrong about Saad..dragit wrote:Where are you Sobraz?

Dempster before that… but thought he was super again last night…
Some things are nice to be wrong about.
