Big signing announcement tomorrow - HS

Post: # 1186870Post Spinner »

Pretty boring around here so not too bad if it turns out not to be Saints related.

Jay Clark just tweeted the below. Could be Goddard. Maybe Hurley. Although the hashtag might be a clue, end of next year is Goddards 10th year (geez!) making him a free agent not only to the GWS but to everywhere.

Great news for a Melbourne-based afl club re-signing one of its biggest names to long term deal. #nofreeagent Tomorrow's herald sun.

The reason I reckon it wont be Pendlebury is that he just signed. Like just signed. Although JC does seem close.

Also I think the hashtag is a purposely placed clue. Pendles still has four years.

true but apart from for clubs salary cap - he did only sign for 1 year... leaving him open if eligible.

fingers crossed great news- they are not letting it out with first edition news-

There are 6 year free agents and 10 year free agents remember. Pendles is out contract this year, as is Sam Fisher, Heath Shaw, Dane Swan, Leigh Montagna... There is so many "free agents" it could be any one of them.

Swan just signed... Also 8 years is restricted (big difference).... 10 years and you are a free agent.
