So if Blakey comes off the Vets list and back onto the Primary list then who is taking his spot on the Vets list ?.

Is it still 2 players on the Vets list ? .. I assume Lenny is one player on the Vets list. Other(s) ?

Roo will after next season. Just Lenny on it for now.

How does that work? If Blakey was on there in his 12th season (2011), wouldn't Rooey be eligible in his 12th season (2012)?

You can only have two veterans and they are either on the list or outside the list. If they are outside the list you can draft more players. I think due to our salary cap they are putting the veterans inside the list (still only pay half their salary), but means we don't have to draft more players and therefore pay slightly less on the salary cap.

I think thats why, however just a guess.

I think it depends on whether the birthday falls in or out of the arbitrary cut off date. I think Rooey was born about 2 weeks too late to qualify next year.

The year after it changes - based on years alone, clubs can have as many as they like but only get $100K cap relief per player. Currently if you have 2, it's 50% cap relief each, 3 it's 33% each...

Milney, being 31 and debuting in 2001, is eligible for the veterans list now. Kosi and Roo, although also debuting in 2001, dont turn 30 until late 2012, so they wont be eligable until 2013.
By keeping veterans on the Senior list we aare ab le to take more rookies. Lenny is being kept a Vet, I take it he is paid more than Blakey, so it is worth the saving to keep him a Vet.

BB, I think Kosi is eligible next year because his birthday is before the year end (20th Sept) and Rooey isn't because his birthday is 17th Oct. I think they define the season end date as Sept 30th or GF day.

I believe you have to have turned 30 before the season ends to be eligible in that season.
