And the good thing is we have plenty of ready made replacements.
yeah, plenty with the right build to play FB.
Is Simpkin big enough to hold down FB? I guess Maxy was about his height.
He wasn't last year IMO. He may need to be fast tracked if Zac is leaving.

Do you ever wonder why you are ridiculed on here so often?

We get it, you don't like Zac, obviously heaps of people don't, but you are sounding like a 5 year old…

It's been pointed out that he is one of highest accumulator of votes throughout finals, which makes your constant dribble all the more inane…
Who ridiculed me ? .. people disagree with me that's fine as long as they don't misrepresent me.

So is he worth $300,000- and are you happy with his one on one work as a more mature adult ?
I think he's probably worth between 250 - 300 K, as a regular starting FB in a finals side, approaching 100 games with a good record… If there were loads of tall, fast, key defenders around he would probably be worth less, but there are only a handful in the league…

One-on-one body work is not his best game for sure, but I saw Cloke drag down plenty of marks against 3 defenders this year… Dawson is very good at reaching contests and making spoils but if we had a better match for Cloke I'd say we would have tried it by now

I'm not even a huge fan, but to say his level is zero defies sanity…

I hope you're right and Simpkin or someone out of the box like Stanley can step up and make a huge improvement, cause at the moment they are only average VFL players…

His one on one work as far as a FB goes I rate a zero - I'm sorry.
I'm only referring to his one on one work - not what i think of him overall ..
and he does other thing which brings his overall score to 4/10.

Obviously if I thought he was a complete dud - that would surely be ridiculous.

Hope your right, he lost out on the Mitch clarke deal, would love to see another one fall on it's arse. hope Silvagni rates him.

We will be worse off with out Zac, he is our best option for the position. i hope Tom Simpkin is going to be a gun.

I would personally rather Farren go as some of our young guys could take his spot.

No worries, for the record I think Cloke is pretty much unbeatable one-on-one at the moment, I can't think of a defender that would cover him if left in that scenario…

Lonergan did very well on Cloke in the GF becuase the Pies midfield did not domniate and hence supply was average.

Some of you guys should look at the game a bit more holistically.

I think we are going the mosquito fleet thing? I hope Scotty knows what he's doing. Maybe big Darch showed more than we thought, build wise he is like Darren Glass on (more) steroids.

Bob Keddie (71 Hawks) and Shane Ellen (1997 Crows) were match winners against us in past GF's - but that doesn't make them great players.
Bob keddie played in the toughest grand final of them all according to many experts.

In fact that was all these two were famous for... and away from that were very average and forgettable players.

By the way on footywire stats Dawson got 27 DT points for GF1 and 28 DT points for GF2 last year... I personally think he should have been rated higher.

DAWSON IS AND ALWAYS HAS BEENA DUD...anyone who thought he brings value is in lahlah land...to think he was a regular and paid more than a minimum makes me sick..thank god for Pelchin who sees it as it is and not as his luv child.

Why is it that he was not taken in the trade....

Sides did not kick goals against st kilda period...had little to do with a lost dawson in the middle of a flood

He wasn't taken in the trade because he wasn't put up for trade.

Other than that, a great post. well done.

lucky to get 200? How the guy made AFL in the first place is beyond me. Hawthorn would of been laughing for days after they found out a club was actually interested in him.
Another brilliant and insightful comment from a fool. Well I can tell you that no one is interested in you.

Nope your wrong I like dools hes a nice lad but because he tells it like HE sees it and you dont like that you feel you are compelled to try to belittle him. Maybe you could join the CS and see the hard work that dools does SaintPav
why thank you Nods.

StPav sure is taking his/her/its time to reply. Can give it but cant take it.

Were you up the other end when that happened? Anyway isnt this the guy the coaches actually voted as one of our best in 2 finals series. Yep that happens to hacks once they leave our club.

There is telling it like you see it and then there is being downright disrespectful. I'm not saying I'm perfect, I've criticized many St Kilda players in my time but I feel that Dools has crossed that line on many an occasion, which is bad enough for any fans but to be a member of the cheer squad makes it even worse. It is little wonder that there is a lack of respect towards our cheer squad on here, many claim to be bigger fans of the club than others yet bag certain players whenever they get the opportunity.
