I totally respect RL and the incredible work he has done with a bunch of middle rung players but he is a one trick pony, and that trick has been sorted out by the opposition, and they have improved on it. IF he stays, I hope we see a reasonable cull of mediocre players, and a concentration on recruitment and development of younger players, If he goes, then it probably is time, as after three unsuccessful consecutive cracks at a premiership, a coach's time at a club is most likely up, as the chemistry is probably gone.

To be honest, I'm genuinely worried about his ability to rebuild the team and what sort of footy he'll be teaching them to play.

Scoring is his issue. It's been a big problem since he's been a coach.

Yep, we needed one more point last year, and one more goal the year before.

If our highly paid and pampered princesses could kick straight, maybe.....

All coaches are largely irrelevant... to a team's success.
The least paid coaches are the best coaches.

Recruiters and players on the other hand .. are very relevant.

Why do some people doubt Lyon's ability to rebuild a side when he's never had to do so before?

Hopefully Westaway & Co will base their decisions on something a bit more analytical than gut feelings.

Sometimes that's correct. But in Lyon's case, I reckon his fingerprints are all over everything.

Both the good things, and the bad.

He clearly is not a coach who rates autonomy with his players!

Even I can coach Collingwood to success.

Here goes ..
"just get out there and do your thing guys .. use your superior kicking skills.
Thomas, Shaw, Davis and O'Brien ,, get your usual 25 run and carry possessions each... and just rebound with intent.
Pin point those passes.
Each one of your run and carry possessions is worth 3 possessions each.
Cloke take your contested marks and kick straight.

You are a credit to our recruiters guys .. blah, blah, blah .."

Why would anyone actually hate RL, a man that most of us have not met.

I reckon we should like all coaches a little less and learn to love recruiters and players even more... the right ones anyway.

Even I can bash windows and shake my head and throw the headphones off my head and swear like the best of the coaches... the frustrated lot of them who just rely on their players at the end of the day.
