Re: Players Ross will love

I think he will love Butler, his forward pressure will be very highly regarded. His new Andrew Mcqualter. Higgins, on the other hand will need to do more

Re: Players who would get a game in our 2009 team

Kingy wouldn't get a game in the 2009 team, not a chance in hell. He's turning out to be the biggest spud we have. Can't build a team around a spud. Roo must be embarrassed to see the No 12 being worn by a spud. His attitude is a disgrace and he has no place on an elite sporting ground. Massive iss...

Player group is split. Rath's complicated game plan theories are having a negative effect Ratten has or will soon have the mandate to ignore Rath and to start dropping do nothing prima donnas. He will need to get on his bike with that one. Lethlean inherits the CEO position with a lot of baggage. H...

Re: Max King

The use of him staggers me? He is 6’8” and 95kg He is being asked to play as the deepest forward (anchor) and contest deep and bring it to ground He ends up stationary and wrestling with bigger bodies Basically if we look at the Geelong model He is playing the Hawkins role I think it’s obvious that...

Re: Paton for Geary

Paton need a spell in the VFL. Needs time to work on cleaning up his disposal. Making too many errors. Against North he dropped marks he should have taken and missed targets by foot. Time to bring Geary back as the lockdown defender. Tough, experienced, leader. Paton will be around for a long time ...

Can't play him midfield as he is very average below his knees.
One attribute you require as a mid.
And he runs on railroad tracks, no evasive skills at all.

He was fantastic but he’s no ruck man. We lost centre clearances 18-9 and Grundy destroyed both him and Marshall at centre bounces. Ryder has to come back in when available. Hayes can play a roaming forward role

Re: Hill's knee injury

If every player in the league's got a torn meniscus, how come Hill's the only player in the draft for whom it rates a mention? Of course, Nick's knees were famously buggered - but not when he was at his peak. it was mentioned because it was picked up in the medical that he did with our club doctor ...

Highly doubt the Bulldogs will go for this but if Lonie is such a terrible player and a squib, why would the Bulldogs offer us pick 12 for him as part of a swap with Bruce? It doesn't make any sense. You can't have it both ways! I don’t want it both ways, he’d make a great set of steak knives on th...

Re: Hill's knee injury

I don't believe it- not again! Oh FFS, it’s a miniscus issue, his knee is structurally ok. Even IF it requires surgery it’s generally a minor one which would barely cost him any time off. A lot of players play through the season with miniscus issues and get a clean up in the off season. Hill played...

It’s a miniscus issue which almost every player in the AFL will have at some point. Even if it needs a tidy up he would miss maybe 4-6 weeks of pre season.
