I'm with the poster who wrote I hope we get two gun kids and shove it up Sydney's arse.
I'll take two kids from the bush who bleed footy, or a mature age rookie from the VFL who will kill for a chance.
Go Saints.
Walsh is now my second most hated player after Ball in the AFL. Hope he never makes it.

I read on saintsational that Ryan was a cats supporter after our Qualfiying Final win against them in 2010. The tone of that forum was that if Ryan had been the closest umpire to the play we would not have received the free that we did, which effectively saved the game for us because Ryan barracks f...

Can't hate Carlton? Really?

Reasons to hate Carlton - every saints supporter over the age of 35 will remember these two games 1987 - Princes Park - Owen kicks the sealer and his seventh(?) goal at the 30 minute mark to put us 7 points ahead. Outrageous free paid against Grant allows cheap kick to Spalding who feigns injury so ...

Bottom Four 2012

Gold Coast - shocked a few sides this year, but they had the element of surprise. From memory, who did they beat? Richmond (in Cairns), Port, and Brisbane. All very poor sides having bad days. They will win a few games, no doubt, but they will also cop some huge floggings, especially if one or more ...

reckon Barlow was a far worse stuff up tbh. Walsh will probably be okay, but Barlow would have been great for us. Personally hate the position that Walsh defecting has put us in. That is, I have to bring negative sentiments into play again. I.e. Actively hope that Walsh has no success and fades away...

I think Siposs, Ledger, Cripps and Lenny Hayes are going to make a heck of a difference next year. If the forgotten man, Rhys Stanley, can get a full pre-season under his belt and focus he could be another Everitt too. Don't know about Cahill, Archer or Johnson. But if they play regularly they could...

If our recruiters do their job properly and use pick 35 prudently, we will get a better player than Walsh in the draft. And that is not speculation or clairvoyancy - as Steven J Peake would say. I base that on this - we have the 35th pick to select any player in Australia that we like. The entire co...

Surprised to read so many people eager to see Gram go. Arguably should have been the club's first Norm Smith Medallist and still very handy, particularly in light of Gwilt being out for 2012 with a knee. Kicking skills aren't always great but could be worked on. Fair enough if the club need room in ...

I wouldn't accept pick 30. I would do my best to keep a player who we brought over to this country, set up, then developed for two years. I would ask the coach to speak to him reasonably about his plans for him, and then if his heart is really set on living in Sydney, I would deal, but like for like...

Simple fact of the matter is this - in the 70s and 80s Carlton and Richmond would go after and destabilise good players from other clubs because they had the money and there was no salary cap. Now we have a salary cap, but the teams in the two growth areas such as Brisbane and Sydney have been given...

Kosi needs to play in the ruck. For years the argument was that he couldn't play ruck because he could get injured, but I think now, the fact that he is 29, past his prime, but still holds his place as a regular, means that he needs to be played somewhere he is not likely to get exploited for his la...

Always worried about Lynch, especially when he was continually played out of position when he made the seniors. And I will never forget Fletcher turning him inside out in his first game. That was terrible. Lyon crucified him that night. He was terrible against Sydney this year too. I will take the d...

This has got a whole Dermott McNichol feel to it. A lot of hype but we never get to see the guy play at the top level for us. Always an excuse, with McNichol it was a mysterious stomach muscle strain, with Walsh it has been an issue of structures. The reality of it all is that the guy is an athlete....

Spot on! Frankston city signage all acknowledges that St. Kilda are a part of that community/locality. Frankston, for all it's social ills, is at least appreciative of the opportunities and mutual benefits a top class sporting outfit can bring, not to mention the prestige. I supported the move whole...

I am probably being a tad touchy but here goes: there was a segment about our major sponsor, which was hardly positive. Despite the fact that our major sponsor deals with several other teams, the St Kilda commercial was the one that came under mild scrutiny. At the end of the segment as a kind of (v...

Very ordinary from Kingston -nee Moorabbin Council - on this one. St Kilda should point to Windy Hill and Kardinia Park as examples of what pro-active and progressive councillors do when they are fortunate enough to have a team from the best sporting body in the country representing their locality. ...

I'd keep Peake and Jones - obviously we'd probably like to see both of them replaced by youngsters steeping up, particularly in light of dodgy kicking skills, but they are certainly well worth keeping on the list. Jones is the new Jack Daniels, foot skills are ordinary and will probably never improv...

I don't have a problem with the joke per se, except that there does seem to be a double standard at play here. Rosebury is a good umpire I think. He may have made a couple of blues today, but generally he is one of the more consistent umps going 'round.
