Re: This is how the Crouch deal will go down.......
Don't understand the fuss. There was nan open market for crouch. We paid the most. That salary we offered was within the range of a band 3 pick. A band 3 pick is the second round which is the range of picks 19-38, but slides after other comp to 23-42. So the open market valued Crouch at pick 23-41....

Massive risk for them if they match the offer.
5 year commitment to someone who doesn't want to be there.
On the whole I think they will accept and move on.

Re: This is how the Crouch deal will go down.......
I can live with a slide from 15 to 23 for Crouch.... better not to overpay him.
The draft is pretty even from what I can gather....and with little exposed form it may not be that big a difference anyway.

Not convinced Hurley is a better option than Carlisle.
But the rest makes sense.
I wonder if we are swapping Seb for Hurley?

Re: How do you expect footy to look in 2021?
I actually think the style we have been playing will suit us well for success. Fast movement and playing on quickly. Brad Hill has had a fair bit of criticism for not living up to his trade value and pay packet....but he is playing the style Ratten is keen on, he is such an attacking player and at e...

Re: Seb Ross
If he leaves it will be salary cap related. He has been solid in a run with role in the back half of this year and earns his spot in the best 22. Don't think he has much trade value at this stage of his career. 3rd rounder or pick swap. Seb finished off the year well and was at his best in the fina...

I agree no dilemma, but it's because we hold onto him.The Fireman wrote: ↑Fri 30 Oct 2020 11:52am no dilemma for me...decent trade bait.
He just didn't improve as much as I had hoped.
Fit, smart and skilled.
Keep.

Re: Buckenara on saints list
And today he had English as an A grader for the bulldogs. 😂😂 he obviously wanted to go with the narrative that we had no A graders so ignored Buttler, Steele, Marshall Well that B grader Ryder certainly seemed to rag doll and dominate that A grader English so completely that we can only conclude th...

Should try for Ratagolea....22 years old and will struggle for a spot with Cameron coming in.

Re: Treloar bombshell
If Treloar nominates us, with the way the Pies have gone about this, we should be able to negotiate a very favourable deal.
They are over the barrell here.
I'm feeling a bit of a Luke Ball 2010 payback Schadenfreuder

Love having the 3 boys locked in together, and have no doubt Ben can be as good as Coff and Hunter. He has been the lockdown defender and the other two given greater license to roam. Watch Benny in2021 hit his straps like he just started doing in the last few rounds with his attacking game. Would ha...

Re: Do not trade Lonie & billings
Happy to keep JB , skilful players are premium.
Lonie had a good year and would be fine to hold....but his trade value has never been so high
Would part with him for a decent pick
