Re: On The Lighter Side

Robert Doyle has said that as the new Lord Mayor he wants to get rid of poorly talented buskers and bogans from the city. Well if he succeeds with the bogan ban this could work in favor of the AFL and many AFL fans as it would mean that 99.99999% of Collingwood supporters would not be able to atten...

Re: WHY TAKE BEGLY!!!!

Yeah I'm pretty excited too, I think every one of these kids have a good chance of making it, with a few of them having aa VERY good chance... No ridiculus smokies either... I reckon one will play over 100 games 2 between 50-100 and the rest less than 10. My first thought was, if three can play (an...

Good feelings

about our draft choices, the best feeling for a while, with having checked them out on You Tube and seeing them on the news tonight really gives good vibes.

Also, you can see what the recruiters were thinking about with all players; good honest kids with some real go in 'em

The flipside is we have one of the youngest lists in the AFL with one of the biggest number of <23 players of any team. So if a few of the kids turn out ok then the club's success can be continued for many years to come. Some people only see the negative. Mate, I could not have said it better!! the...

Actually, when I think about it, the club in the old days might just have dozed straight into Cousins land without putting much thought to it at all. I was wishing Ben could be a Saint, I am pi$$ed too, but I also see things don't quite add up with the whole saga. Also, for mine, Nathan could still ...

Re: How much influence?

Did Ross have on Barry Hall? I was thinking about why in the last few years he has drifted back to the bad old days and was wondering also if Ross might have a view to helping some other misguided, but talented dropouts going around the traps? A good hard edge was missing around finals time this ye...

Funny but they were talking about how Doggies were to beat the Cats, I think it was Dermie who said that if they kick it long, say over 50m. then Cats would have a field day, went on to say they would have to work it into the fwd. line. Bugger me if that isn't what we've been practicing all year!! e...

Re: Crafty Cats

I will Watch the game again but the cats are very good at not over comitting to ground ball contests. If one Geelong player is on the ground others "generally" don't just barrel in to hold the ball up. Their players then go to the defensive side of the contest and await the hopefully loos...

After a cat's goal (from a free - who would have thought!) he vigorously shoved Johnson in the back with his forearm, in front of the umpire. Time for a bit of revenge against the Catters for our 1991 elimination final defeat - a game we should have won but lost because of the actions of that gutless dog Ablett  Burkey should be allowed to address the players before the match and get em fired up by telling them why we owe farking G...
