Who was the last coach who got us into a Grand final -it wasn't GT or RL. Let's introduce Stan Alves to the argument..just for some variation. OK. Offered his resignation to the players early in 1997. The players backed him as coach. He backed them as players. They took the game on and made a grand...

There are a crowd of adoring fans admoring the GT Masterpiece on the wall. I don't think there is one post in the many pages of this thread that says anything GT did was masterful, that he was a super-developer, etc. Many posts acknowledge a myriad of flaws attributed to his management at the club....

There was another commentator on the radio after we lost to the Bulldogs who almost said this word for word: It's not foot speed and it's not skill level, as has been widely reported. It's merely intent. Great teams... have players who swallow their own ego and perform a role for the team. Certainl...

Bit harsh?? LOL...but then I am not the one painting him to be a super-developer of players. Who is saying he was a super-developer of players? As far as I can tell people have only responded saying that comments such as these are inaccurate/unfair. There's a difference between saying that he did d...

Well that would be true IF I had said it..which I did not. I said it was like that. Similar. Using an example, you see. What you did say was bollocks. Thanks for the bake... However if you are going to roast me can you please point out where in fact you said like ..as you state? To say GT had Hall ...

I would have thought that many players made their debut from 2002 to 2006. And more if you included players who had played less than 20 AFL games at previous clubs.st.byron wrote:exactly sRr. He did sfa to develop and nurture young talent through the club.
Exactly how did he do sfa to develop young talent?

GT inherited the core of that team.... Banger, Jones, Everitt, Max, Thommo, Pecket, Loewe, Burkey, Hall That is almost half a team who rate as good to great players. Thanks to cirumstances add: GTrain, Hamill, Penny, Voss, Lawrence, Powell, Roo, Kosi, X, GT was given more to work with than Alves......

its the coach's crap gameplan, its the coash who decides not to man up, its the coach who works out the teams structure the coach SHOULD tell them to play man-on-man, no more loose player in defense the gameplan is at the root of most of our problems What utter garbage... So when the cats players b...

What was wrong with the game plan in the first quarter, hey? What was wrong with the game plan in the first quarter last week? FRICKEN NOTHING, we just don't have the leg speed or skill levels to match others sides that do have thses things in abundance. Has it ever occurred to you the that it is t...

Re: riewoldt wants tougher approach
"We've played six games so far this year and we've played three bad quarters of footy, so hopefully this was an aberration," he said. If that's what the players think, i think we're in a lot more trouble that i expected. I would suggest they know more about their game than some nobody flo...

i would say Dal Santo played at the same level as the rest of the mid-fielders last night He barely even plays in the midfield. How many centre bounces (where the midfielders play) does NDS start in? A reminder to those who will pull out clearence stats - You can get a clearence anywhere on the gro...

A player like Dal Santo should spend 90-95% of the game on the field, sure give him a rest, at half forward. The trouble with that is that there is no rest in our forward line. Our half forwards are on the half back line. Last week when O'halpin (sp) took off from full back to CHF Gehrig followed h...

His work ethic and courage is first rate..... Need him in the team, but you cannot have too many of his type.. This is hilarious. Blake has cer...

We still have it mentally over them ... ask Bomber. He was very glad he didn't have to play us in the second half of '07. We would have beaten the Cats all ends up. We were a kick down with a minute to go in the first half against them with 25 players to choose from that week .... Are you talking a...

But surely he has a lawyer? Wouldn't the lawyer advise him to accept 100K offered to him rather than perjure himself in court (assuming he is being dishonest)? Surely if he has signed a stat dec that states he is not entitled to what he is claiming and there are no extenuating circumstances (the 100...

So a bloke should get on a website and justify taking legal action to resolve a private financial matter to people who use pseudonyms. Hilarious. Thomas was sacked in September 2006 and left Moorabbin with six months' salary and the promise of a further $100,000 if he honoured a non-disparagement a...
