Not too bad Plus 5 sick days without cert and 15 with per year Plus 3months paid LSS after 10 Plus paternity and maternity leave Not too bad vs required ATAR Players ...

Re: Who needs a rest in the 2's?
Longer has to go back to the 2's next week if for no other reason ( and there are many other reasons) than that McEvoy rucked alone all day today against Vardy and was spent in the last quarter. We need to take advantage of McEvoy's lack of skill at the fall and pace around the ground and bring Hick...

I agree. We were gone a long way out. In particular, Longer, Dunstan , Steele, Acres - ll looked shot shortly into the last quarter.

Re: How many time how many excuses???
Yes we lacked class. Yes we couldn't stop Selwood. There is however no excuse for most of the side knocking up as if shot after three quarters of football.

Re: time to try Longer?
In fairness, although he was clearly already tiring, he came to the bench just when we stopped with about 5 minutes to go in the third quarter with what looked like a knock to his hip. After that he was just walking and a few others were in the same boat. He has improved a little ibut he still can't...

Re: Jaxons come on down
This is going to come as a rude shock to the adoring media - but Hawthorn are digging themselves a huge hole that they will wallow in for some time. It always surprises me how seemingly intelligent people that report on football for a living, can be so short sighted and have such short memories abo...

To play finals or to play in the middle. Either way adding Mitchell and JOM is likely to result in less opportunity if anything.Con Gorozidis wrote:Wont Hartung get more opportunity with Brad Hill gone next year?

Look up his WAFL efforts this year and what the club's supporters pretty much universally say about his football. It is sad but surely this is just manager-inspired rubbish.

Re: Billy Hartung
I know we were interested in Billy Hartung. If Acres was taken, and one other... He'd be a saint We certainly would have taken him third round Well thank god we didn't, he can't kick and gives it away in a contest, no good for me. His kicking has improved vastly this year. I can see why he'd be fru...

Re: Womens Footy.
I went to the game. The best aspects in my view were. - Finals style umpiring with only obvious frees being paid and a free flowing game as a result. - Players lining up for goal straight after they'd taken a mark. - Loads of space and a premium on kicking skills as a result. - Above all the joy of ...

Re: Lachie Weller to us?
It's one thing to correctly point out that there is no bar on any player being traded but another to suggest, solely on the basis that his brother is playing for us, that Lachie Weller will be traded by Fremantle. He's been pretty good for them without being outstanding, has shown flair and gets a r...

Re: Jaxons come on down
Are people seriously saying they'd prefer Membrey to Jack Reiwoldt?? Seriously? Jack Riewoldt over Bruce, probably - but Membrey adds another dimension and is good for balance. I'd replace Membrey with Riewoldt in an absolute heartbeat! So you prefer 28 to 22? No and there is fortunately no chance ...

Re: Caleb Marchbank?
Pretty basic. They aren't in the best 22. They want to play AFL footy and earn success and a lot of money. They can see that the club has a raft of early picks again this year and that their stocks may sink even further. They know there are other clubs where they are likely best 22 and who are offer...

Re: Jaxons come on down
What Hickey, Bruce, Membrey have shown is that you can "pick the eyes" without doing damage to your core - and, in my view anyway, that is the way to go because high profile "targets" come with a price tag (Draft picks and players) outside our capacity to pay. As an example, Col...

No, he's not quick. He's tough and can win his own ball and he's a lovely kick. He plays taller than his height and tends to ratate forward or back.

Tom's been good in 2016 But he's not an 'all time great' That's as silly as City Wests comment to trade him... I would also suggest Tom would be worth Pick 10-15 as Brad Ottens was at Geelong many years ago (pick 12) I would trade Longer in a heart beat. He would get overs... He is actually no bett...

A lot of conversations and very exciting ones are going on at the moment. However a lot are just chatter and don't come off. Well done lads. It was a season that exceeded expectations. To think we would even be in finals contention at this stage, was a massive tick to the club. Tonight wasn't great and it shows how far we still need to go but we've had a season of breakout performances. Ross, Hickey, Membrey, Mav, Acres ...

Re: What do we really need player-wise?????
I had heard that he was over the line at Hawthorn which prompted my earlier comments. I have now heard that his fitness issues coupled with the 850k approx average pa salary package he can command has led to them reconsidering. We are in the running. Happy to supply a detail or two confidentially.
