Unless our second half of the year is much better than the first he's out.

Q1) When did he say that?
Q2) On what basis did he conclude that we have improved, and improved relative to what baseline?

When the bosses at football club talk about the coaches future, you know he is dead.
"He has my full confidence and the full confidence of the board" is a death sentence.
A coach is only safe when the CEO and board never discusses his future.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

There’s is no doubt that AR will be gone. No doubt. I know who they want but I’m pretty sure they won’t get him. So for what I hear it’s out of three- Scott, Knights, or Harves.

Good to hear. I assume it will be Lethers mate Scott.

And then Roo returns as a board member in 2020

I've heard they would be almost willing to let Richo go around again so they can get Bevo.

question: don't they have to follow a rigorous process?
- convene a panel to work out the club's strategy going forward, formulate objectives and targets
- approach those who might fit the requirements (headhunt)
- interview those on the shortlist
- assess each applicant and submit recommendations to the Board, after all, it's a legal contract
involving payment for services

I wouldn't be surprised if he left the hawks actually. He might prefer roos though

Bevo is signed until end of 2020, (it gets worse) and 2 weeks ago, Dogs Prez Peter Gordon said
he wanted to extend Bevo and expected him to be coach for a "long, long time".

Dreaming are we?

The current media discussions on Cho's woes, seem to conveniently exclude 2014, 2015 and 2016 and 2017.

This talk of improvement, seems to isolate the 4 win season last year which paints a mizleading picture of our trajectory under Cho.

He was very disappointed with yesterday’s performance and indicated the coach is in real trouble unless we show improvement and take a few scalps in the remaining matches. The players copped a spray also.

I feel we are in good hands with Lethlean.

Knights? As in Matty Knights? Gee whiz, that'd be typical.

The most overrated process in the history of mankind is the hiring of a new coach.

What you've described above is just so unnecessary in my opinion.

When they follow a process, thry some right and thry get some wrong

When they don't follow a process, they get some right and they get some wrong.

The key this time, is to get a dude that has been an assistant somewhere where he's built up relationships with some poachable players.

Ratten, Knights or even a guy like Dean Solomon would be my first picks

If you keep doing the same thing and expect a different result is a sign of insanity.

Matthew Knights was a disaster for Essendon.

Coached one final, got flogged by 100 pts, and has a win ratio of 38%, 10 years ago. PASS.

Would have Brad Scott over him any day.
