I didn't get to watch the game, was listening on 774, but they're pretty dry. Thoughts on his game?

Usual game. Does a few things in the first quarter, then get tired and lies down for the rest of the game. He's too fat - simple as that.

Oh, seriously? Kicked 2, pushed for many leads that were ignored, recovered after landing on his head AGAIN and speared a cracking kick that resulted in a goal. I think that assessment is just OTT harsh.

I thought he was good. 2 goals should have been 3. Gave us a real presence up forward - on the lead and holding his ground. Definitely tires and loses some of his impact. Just needs more games to keep building his endurance and feel for the game at this level. Still feel like he is only even 50% of his ceiling which is exciting. And he did whack his head again which seemed to stun him.

Fatigue is synonymous with Diabetes, not sure how you overcome that.

Is that the bloke the commentators were heaping praise on in the third quarter for his continual efforts?

I thought Paddy was good. Rushed a snap at goal in the last when he had time to steady which could have made a difference.

Thought he was pretty good. Had a game much like Bruce or Membrey occasionally where they work very hard but aren't rewarded. 2.3 should be better, but had at least one quite difficult shot from the wrong boundary.

Very average.

Slow, fumbles, clumsy with the ball, is an inconsistent kick... and surely he should be cleaner with his hands?

He is courageous, get to good spots... but because he is limited athletically, defenders can close in on him... he is not a strong or clean or skilled as I once thought/hoped

And if we use lack of prep as an excuse... he's had 5 months, 4 practice games and should be fresh?...

He actually had a chance to put us right in the game, with a little bit of composure ... but carelessly blazed with two options ... they kicked a goal from the kick in
Then the smothered hand ball iced the game

Sorry to say, but similar to Billings... for such a high DP he is actually just not that great... he's just OK and occasionally very good.... at this point

But he's still got another season or two to deliver before he's a bust.

Agree with BM, including his last line. JOe Daniher is just hitting his straps at 23. I think Paddy will get there.

Daniher showed more potential, taller, bigger leap, better athletically... and really it was just a horrible team and awful kicking that limited him to under 50 last year.

Daniher will kick 50-70 this year

Paddy about 20-35

Such negativity. So he did nothing good?
How was the the composure with the Banana kick. the brilliant set shot when we needed it.
How old is he? 20. and people want him to be superman now!
we have drafted him for a reason - people are so impatient and short sighted.
Some people just always need immediate gratification.

Third season, he's not even a first rounder, he's not a high draft pick... he's a number one selection

Cream of the crop

Can we compare him to Weitering?

A defender, that went forward last week and got on top of Rance? With a hip knock...

Time for him to start showing better hands, a higher level of fitness and some sight of why he was selected.

Thought he played well, if we stop bloody kicking it to him on a half volley then he'd have the chance to keep the ball moving quicker. Was often outnumbered in packs but brought the ball down. So many saying he's unfit yet he still 1-2 meters ahead on a lead but we can't hit s*** with kicks.

Has he played 20 games yet? What, 3-4 concussions and a busted shoulder thus far?

Way, way too quick on the condemnation.

Thought he looked pretty good. Kicking's a worry though. Could have had 5. But a great set of hands.
