Carlisle "scandal"

Post: # 1586894Post creepypolar »

You guys catch the Current Affair promo?? Looks like they've caught Jake Carlisle smoking weed in Amsterdam. Honestly, don't think it's a huge deal but pretty pissed they chose today to air it. Now, our brand is going to be tarnished because his actions will be affiliated with us. Media at its finest

Filmed and/or leaked by his former employer, perhaps?

Thats what you do in Amsterdam, either that or browse the red light area.
At least he's not drinking 1000 $2 beers in Bali making a complete Aussie knob of himself.
He's probably just going to be hungry.

My info is that regardless of what he is filmed doing in that clip, none of us will be too impressed about his nocturnal activities if they ever came to light. Better clean his act up, and the Saints BETTER have done their due diligence on this guy - we don't need a repeat of the last bloke 'recruit' we got from Essendon.

It is illegal in this country and I would lay odds he will now get tested when he returns to Australia. Not good. For us or for Carlisle's health.

How tragic that Dane Swan's pub burnt down.

I wonder why? Maybe that can be an ACA story? Ch.9. My mistake.

Yep, Carlisle smoking a joint overseas is a scandal.

Meanwhile 2 Hawks being investigated for sexual assault.

Hodge drinks drives, but is a good bloke so good on him for being able to have a beer.

Give me a break.

Carlisle will star for us, and from all reports, is just a normal bloke that plays footy good.

It's also illegal for gays to get married in this country.

Should we test all those that have been caught overseas getting gay married to see if they are gay?

What a strange response. I don't think the AFL drug testers give a stuff if one is gay or not, but they certainly chase players using illicit substances.

Do you want saints players smoking weed? I certainly don't.

Pretty silly analogy. One is a moral viewpoint (that will be changed eventually) and the other is a health issue. Kind of relevant to a footballer we have just invested out #5 draft pick in. And if weed was all it was I thought he did, I wouldn't be too worried. Although I would be curious as to why he thought he was an elite athlete. Even more curious why WE (the saints) think he is an elite athlete.

I wonder if they'll throw in a mention of a few other past st kilda scandals for added effect?

He'll be good in the leadership group, to show the youngsters the ropes - unlike Bennell.

Is Essendon trying to screw carlisle over with the AFL's new off-season illicit drug policy?

Think about it.

USELESS FACT: The WADA case against Essendon (in Sydney as well) is exactly 10 years to the day that Australia qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Not sure smoking a joint in amsterdam is a health issue - unless he stumbles into a canal and drowns!

The fine to sit on my couch and smoke a joint is less than a speeding fine doing 8 kms over the limit

Like any auctions there no cooling off period. Had we got him in a private sale we would have got 72 hours.
