i wish it was so i could grab bragging rights at work, but we said hardwick end of next year if the tigers dont go deep into finals
we mentioned mcartney but didnt realize it was such a rabble down there when we were discussing coaches on the chop
sort of started to hear about rabbleness a fortnight ago at the kennel
players not happy with the coach etc etc

i was actually surprised when they had the review down there last week and said the coach is safe
i was sure they were going to sack him

No, I don't think we do. I think the players have a massive amount of power when it comes to influencing the senior coach position. But I would argue that most clubs have a very similar culture in player power with regards to the coach...

I mean Geelong get hailed as the model of excellence all the time, and they basically just had the opposite happen, management were about to Sack the coach, when Scarlett and co. basically said, if Bomber goes, we go. How is that different in terms of player power dictating a coaches position, for better or worse.

First time coaches with no premiership success coaching complete rebuilds are on a hiding to nothing. There is only one in the last 15 years who's done it...Clarkson.

Will the players ever have major influence of a sponsorship deal or CEO or pres...no. Senior coach...of course they have sway, some probably more than others, but if enough players band together, Coach will always be the easier out. IMO
