Burge as High Performance Manager ... a great get. Has been at the Hawks for a while and Hardwick tried to get him to the Tigers at the start of 2010. Very highly rated (I work with someone in that industry). Wonder if Pelchen played a role?

Laidley touted for a while ... will be good to have him in the box (match-day coaching is a strength of his) and helping Watters ...

the interesting part of the announcement is that there is only 1 more line coach to be announced. is this the backline coach? will there be a ruck coach?

what is danny sexton going to do?

He is the Opposition Analyst according to the Saints website ... I would imagine he will stay in that role.

Ruck coach not sure - maybe they will look at someone part-time?

Danny has been a constant since Ross came in- and maybe even before
has worked his way into a line coach position. Good on him
Adam Kingsley, Dean Laidley and Danny Sexton will work alongside Scott Watters as Line Coaches in St Kilda’s AFL Program for the forthcoming season. A fourth and final Line Coach is yet to be appointed.

I wonder if Gardi would hang around for part time with Big Ben and co?

We're putting together quite the off-field team. Like I keep saying, we're not rebuiling. We're renovating and regenerating. Our time is coming ...

Still waiting for closure ... if you get my drift.

Good appointments. Laidley will be a great asset as senior assistant I think, strong tactical abilities on match day.

I've just spent the last eight years hating Dean Laidley!

(Sigh) Does this mean I now have to like him?

And beefy Burge, couldn't by any stretch of the imagination be a 'High Performance Manager'............... it would be a real stretch to get around that girth.

Is he still alive? I think like his old banana bender mate Wally Grout he has passed on.
