It's an example of the stupidity of the "must try and dispose of it".

If he had of stayed on the turf, rather than trying to break the tackle, it would have been a ball up.

The adjudication of the law may well have been correct, but the law is stupid.

only watched it once (i.e. no replay), but i reckon he could have got a handball away. that's how i saw it. ball.
