Having someone external is vital IMO.

Not sure about Pagan though... Lethal Leigh would be my #1 pick as a fantastic footy brain to have selecting our next premiership coach.

agree

would have suggested Parkin but his expertise appears to have been used on overdrive recently

Pagan was a top coach of younger players, and very good at young player development in his earlier coaching life, so I wouldn't complain if he was brought in to consult.

Panel

Should include Paul Roos should Roos not be willing to be coach. I'd also make Roos director of football.

i wouldn't want the club to have anything to do with him after his dig at the club.

There are very few premiership coach options out there:

- Malthouse (currently coaching)
- Thompson (currently assistant coach)
- Clarkson (currently coaching)
- Worsfold (currently coaching)
- Roos (too close to Ro$$ Lyin)
- Williams (could be an applicant for actual coaching job)
- Matthews (?)
- Sheedy (currently coaching/ambassador/insane)
- Pagan (?)
- Blight ( )
- Parkin (?)
- Joyce (been off the scene for a long time)
- Walls (did it last time)
- Jewell (sacked by St Kilda)
- Jeasulenko (sacked by St Kilda)
- Barassi (too old)
- Kennedy (too old)
- Hafey (too old)
- Sutton (too old)

Ok sorry  Well Matthews might be alright as a consultant - isn't he already on at least 2 panels ?

I would prefer Roos and/or Ross Smith on the selection panel

The only former Geelong coach I want is currently an assistant - Bomber Thompson....

Having at least 2 outsiders on the Coaching Panel is absolutely crucial to getting and being seen to get an open, wide-ranging assessment.

I would add an Head Hunter/Psychology person on it as well.

Sorry Rommell not available, tried to challenge his club president, but when challenge failed he sacrificed himself for the perceived stability of the club.
