20 personal bests so far this preseason, I like that 8-)

Hahaha

KB 'it's going to be a fascinating insight, will it be available at all good book stores'

slight awkward pause

DM 'there may still be copies available'

Damn I only caught the tail end of the interview.

Can anyone give us a general run down?

Hmmm, I'll try....though I'm sure they will put up a podcast.

Seems the industry has only become aware of the publication.

Luke was struggling to improve his running, was given a modified program to improve, and he did so which saw him return to the team and play finals.

No resentment towards Ball, handled himself with class.

Club see's GT as resentful and bitter, but were especially diappointed with his comments following Milne's 200th.

20 PB's so far this year, club is rapt, boys working very hard.

Lovett came last in time trial, trailed 50m behind NSW rookie ruckman, alarm bells rang.

Gardiner played last season with chronic knee tendonitis.

Roo played 09 granny with sore knee that he couldn't even walk on, and torn groin. Caused major concern coming in, but they are confident it didn't impact his performance.

Not much in this interview at all - "everything going fine."

What interested me, was Dave Mission's acknowledgement that the final chapter in "the Bubble" was a little light on, at the Club's request.

I posted some comments a few week's ago about this, that it would have been nice to hear Dave's comments about our preparation and fitness level (down) in GF2.

Clearly, the Club was not prepared to give any secrets away. Let's hope that what they learnt, will be invaluable if we make it again this year.

gards went to sweeden to get the knee looked at from a tendon specialist
said it was the worse he had seen
should hopefully be able to get thru a season without pain

One of the PB's was a sub 10 min time trial for 3km by McEvoy. Well done big man. That is motoring.

I was watching the GC boys train at Griffith Uni a while back. They test over 2kms. May be a dumb quessie, but is there any reason for diff benchmarks?

FYI they seemed to have a cut off rule of 6.40 for back to back 2km tests, 5 mins or so between. By my watch it seemed to be what everyone was striving for...

The draft kids were absolutely eating it up. Swallow goes well, but some kid they called Wilko and lower pick Taylor who I'd heard a bit about from a mate in Geelong were absolute fliers...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Not a dumb question re 2km v 3km. I'm sure they have their reasons. I know someone in the football department at GC. I'll pop him an email and get back to you. Give him upto a week though.
Joel Wilkinson "Wilko' set draft records in the 20m sprint and the repeat sprint agility test. A 15.3 beep test too (=2nd). 4th in the jumps. An all round freakish athlete. Can he play football? I'm unsure but he was captain of the qld u18s.

There may have been 20PB but we have about 10 new players so at the most there were 10 others. Proves stats can be used anyway you like.

Or proves you in particular can interpret them as you please?

HE WAS born in South Africa and grew up dreaming of becoming a Wallaby, now Eugene Kruger is leaving his Sydney AFL teammates in his wake.
The former schoolboy rugby star has been on the Swans' rookie list for just over a month and he is already setting standards for fitness.

On Friday, he won the club's gruelling 3km time-trial in a time of 9min 51sec, finishing just ahead of last year's AFL rising star winner Dan Hannebery.

This puts the time trial in perspective. Top effort benny Boy.
