The Roy Morgan survey on another thread suggests Collingwood fans are more likely to drive Commodores than Saints fans.

More bloody prejudice by the AFL!

Ah well, whack it in the bubble with the other stuff

Agree that Lionel is infinitely better than the INXS cover band.

Seriously, All Night Long will be classic. And I'll be partying all night long if we win too...

Just curious.

Why is INXS fronted by JD Fortune instead of Michael Hutchence not considered INXS by many

and yet so many of the same posters call for
ACDC without Bon Scott?

When is it acceptable to replace a lead singer in a Band and continue calling yourself by the Band's name?

ELO changed their name to ELO-2 when the lineup didn't include Jeff Lynne.

So is it only the lead singer that cannot be changed?
What about the guitarist, keyboard player, drummer etc?

Are the Rolling Stones still considered the Rolling Stones after Brian Jones' death?

Wolfmother still calls themselves Wolfmother even though there is only 1 original member left (the singer)

LRB is still touring in the USA (I think) even though there is only 1 transient member of the Band still in it.

The Eagles are still The Eagles even though 2 of their original members have been replaced (Don Felder and Randy Meisner).

I'm not having a go at any of these Bands mentioned but just trying to understand why all the angst towards INXS fronted by JD Fortune?

Some bands are one member, some aren't.

AC/DC released Back in Black within a year of Bon Scott's death... I think it mainly comes down to what the band produces post-depature. And the sooner the better.

I cant even name one INXS song released after the death of Hutchins... and their new frontman won the job on a reality tv show!

Why does the AFL have to always go for artists well past their use by date, examples:
- Lionel Ritchie
- Jimmy Barnes
- John Farnham
- INXS
- Mark Seymour

I agree with temper trap, also birds of tokyo would be great

I say call in the Rolling Stones. Christ knows the AFL has the cash.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

I don't think so.

But more importantly, the Saints are playing in a Grand Final and people are concerned about the pre match entertainment! Will it somehow cheapen a Premiership if Lionel Richie played beforehand?

BTW. Rockstar INXS was the best talent show I ever saw. I was actually glad to see JD Fortune fronting the band.
