Post: # 998761Post AnythingsPossibleSaints »

Just heard on the radio (MMM) that there will most likely be tickets available to the general public next week, as well as more tickets for club members. YEAH!!!

Maybe there is a chance for me yet.
Keeping my ears peeled for details, but please if anyone hears when/how can you post to let us know?

No official AFL announcement as yet, Dimwit trying to work out how he can screw the general footy public probably.

"Hell of a lot more tickets for the competing clubs members", "more like 40,000". (SEN interview with someone who I'm pretty sure was from the AFL, telling them all the details about next week)

would be a great thing if interstate members or others who went today and can't get there next week work together with other saintsationalists in working together instead of allowing the tickets to go on General Public sale.

Surely that doesn't mean we have to start queing does it? I really could be arsed sleeping in the street for a night. I did it for 97 and it wasn't fun.

Unless I'm mistaken, Stephen Gough (in charge of the MCG) just said on SEN that 10,000 "walk-up" tickets will be available on Saturday! Great news for the "average-Joe".

That is for MCC members not the general public.

Are you sure, did you hear the interview? I just caught what he said mid-sentence, so I wasn't sure.

Yep. Didnt hear the interview but there are 10k walk ups to the MCC members next week. The only difference between this week and next is the 14k to the other clubs goes to club members.

Gough runs the MCC. It would not be his call re: Walk Up, it would be the AFL's.
And there is no chance there would be walk up or GA. It would be fully ticketed. After club allocation tickets may go on sale to the general public later in the week.

We have 40000 members and only 20000-21000 tickets so no chance there will be any available for general public by wednesday IMO

Here it is, there could at least be 1000 standing room tickets available on Saturday, albeit unlikely: http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx

You may be surprised. We have 4500 AFL members and 3000 MCC members so they may also be Saints members. Also some people will not be able to afford another game. I think there will be some left over.
