Channel ten....

Post: # 888591Post bigred »

After bringing us live against the gate coverage last week, tonight's coverage is absolutely attrocious. Twenty commercials between quarters, cutting to adds before Geary's 9pointer was even kicked...

Oh and he great commentary about the "stab hole" in the back of the #14 guernsey was quality....

Agreed. Some of the ads go for almost the same length as a quarter/3 quarter time break!

The ads would be better than watching Freo tonight.

Channel 10 are playing the feed from fox, just on delay. Didn't know they did that...usually the other way around.

Who gave Dwayne Russell the list of emergencies from the Grand Final. He feels that he has to use it at every possible opportunity.

they have barely mentioned the grand final sprint though, or that Ray and Blake where the only ones to play every game. I might forget those handy facts if they don't tell me again.... and again... and again.

He also said Gram played his 99th in the GF, and plays his 100th in round one. Didn't he play the 100th on GF day??

Someone has certainly given him a whole heap of stats he is determined to use.

Lloyds overuse of the same hand gestures over and over and over when he speaks between quarters with Hudson between quarters, is driving me nuts!

However, he does speak better than I thought he would

Channel 10. They introduced the telecast & then threw to the fox replay. In between quarters, they then discuss the game then return to the replay.

Was unbelievably bad.

I understand that under the agreements for the television rights channel 10 had to agree to show the delayed coverage so that Fox would get their greater share of the market, I guess that they had to use their feed to build awareness of their team (although tonights effort wasn't the best) but seriously what was with the extended ad breaks after goals, surely that wasn't written in the contract...

I watched the game on One HD (Ten) and I agree with what everyone has said, the coverage was appalling. I just dont get what goes through those guys heads when they decide to cut to a commercial.

Channel 10 cover delayed.
Matthew Lloyd, didn't he play basketball and only recently convert to footy.

Foxtel cover live. :D

Watched it on Foxtel and recorded it on my IQ2 - no problems.

no problem here either UNTILL game delayed so even my 15 minute leeway taping missed the last 3.05 minutes.

I wonder how much they have cut from the replay now on.

Big problem with IQ as it stopped recording at 9.30
