and giving there fast midfield first use.

Gardiner should dominate in the ruck against him. Tell him to get his knees right in the ribs of Ryder every time.

Might be an idea though to have someone else running with him around the ground. Gardiner won't be able to keep up with him.

Nothing to worry about, Ryder has only played one good game in his career and that was against an insipid Josh Fraser.

"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Let's not forget he is the only thing resembling a ruckman Essendon have got.

He may take the occasional hanger around the grounds, but Gardiner and possibly King will just wear him down through the game, plus when he takes a break, there is no one to replace him.

Much like Fraser last night, Collingwood have no second ruck.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Already posted in another thread we should ruck Gilbo against Ryder. Will keep up with him, and run off him and hurt him the other way.

If Ryder plays ruck, they have absolutely no defenders that can match up our present forward structure. With him playing CHB-ish, at least they have one.

So will King be back, is it at all likely?

Great minds Bungy, I just posted the same idea on the Gwilt/Goose thread. I think it can work, let Gardy and Gilbo rotate the rucking duties. When Gardy's on he set up camp across half back and when it's Gilbo's turn he can run Ryder around the ground. This set up may see the return of Goose to CHB to pick up Neagle, freeing Sam to do what he does best.

I'd suggest Gilbo is a similar height, would hold his own and theres always the third up option. I'd give him the job and back him to do it!

Ryder is a good player but he's too light for a ruckman. If King comes in he will give him a torrid time. It will open the game for us

Another opportunity awaits!

So some of our opponents players have had some good games and good quarters but none of these against St Kilda.
St Kilda also have some guys that play the game and they are having a great season.
Have faith, when they play St Kilda these opponents will have bad games.
They have never been harassed and pressured like they will be this Sunday.
