CJ's opponents so far have been McVeigh, Mcleod, Kerr, Hasleby and Pearce. Generally he's played on smaller midfield options. The Dogs have a pretty big midfield. I don't see an obvious opponent. He may wind up on Gilbee, who's been playing a bit further up the ground this year. Higgins is also a possibility. Maybe even Gia. Not sure about Cross or Griff, but either could happen.

Their forward line is so samey that it's near impossible to pick matchups.

Gota be careful of Higgins, that boy is VERY VERY good, not only capable of high possesions, but also numerous goals, and he uses the ball very well.

I'd like to see Gilbert get the job, though it could potentially be anyone of Baker, Fisher, Gilbert or even Cj i think.

The only problem with that is he spends a lot time in the centre. Same with Gia. It's probably going to be a case of rotating players through different opponents.

Yeah that's true. I was initially going to say CJ, but thought when Higgins goes forward CJ might struggle, plus I think Ross would prefer CJ to be around the ball, chasing people down, laying tackles and winning it himself.

Higgins is similar to the Johnson of old, a few years back Johno would swing from forward to middle, now he stay forward, but Higgins plays a similar role.

Match-ups will be pretty much as usual......

Griffen will get Jones
Baker vs Aker
Look for Eddy or Geary to drag Gilbee out of the play
Morris vs Milne
Williams vs Roo
Kosi vs Lake.....if Kosi plays
Dawson will get the deep fwd (Minson)
Blake vs Hahn
Higgins who plays high HF will either get Ray or Gram of HB
The other will go to Murphy

Hayes/Ball vs Cross
Montagna vs Eagleton
Boyd vs Dal

Johnson will get Gilbert/Sam Fisher - the other free

Josh Hill vs Gwilt/Goddard - Wing
Hargraves vs Gwilt/Goddard - FP

Obviously - Gardiner vs Hudson

Side will be

B: DAWSON - FISHER - BAKER
HB: GILBERT - BLAKE - RAY
C: GRAM - HAYES - MONTAGNA
HF: GWILT - RIEWOLDT - GEARY
F: GODDARD - KOSI - MILNE
Foll: GARDINER - JONES - DAL
Int: EDDY - MINI - (KING/McEVOY) - BALL

Emerg: BEGLEY - SCHNIEDER - X.CLARKE
Schneider will not be dropped. RL doesnt change winning sides unless he has to. Also would think Jones may be a bit small for Griffin. Think he may take someone like Cross as they seem similar players.
If Jones doesn't go to Griffin, who does?

Blake may if big Ben plays otherwise Hayes or Bally may go head to head. Not sure but agree he important to them just feel CJ is a bit small.

Blake won't go to Griffen plugger. Griffen has electrifying pace and a lot of agility. I expect Blake to go to Hahn or Minson.

What does it matter if Griffen is too "big" for CJ? He's not exactly a marking target, he's a midfielder. Besides which, Jones is 183cm and 85kg, Griffen stands at 188cm and 86kg. Difference is negligible.

So long as, when the game is done and dusted and we are the requisite 90 points in front......that Higgins is let loose to get some late SuperCoach points..ooops I mean possessions 8-)
