When I was a boy, a mere 44 years ago, I would await a copy of the Sporting Globe or "The Pink" as was sometimes known, to be delivered on a Saturday night (all games were played on a Saturday then with all starting at the same time) and after having read the match summary of our victory (two or three times), I would lie on my bed and gaze at the League Ladder for about an hour or two, simply because we were on TOP!
But these days, things have moved on. I am no longer so silly.
Now, I can watch the DVD replay two or three times and gaze at an electronic version of the League Ladder (see link) for an hour or two and have it as my screen saver! And we are still on TOP!
That's progress, and what a wonderful thing it is.

top 2 teams are already 2 games ahead + heaps of percentage.
carlton are still average yet put the dogs to the sword
Top 4? anyone? I can't call it, will come down to injuries and intent
