CJ's last quarter

Post: # 718389Post Solar »

thought CJ deserved a thread of his own this week. Was not picked up as quickon TV as it was on radio but CJ went to mccloud and shut him right down. Was a makor part of the crows comeback in the third quarter and CJ put the brakes on him.

I really like his tagging game.

Clint was okay and did a good job on McLeod, but personally I think McLeod had an off night.

CJ will only keep his spot in our starting 22 if he can become a very good tagger IMO...

His ability to shut down an opposition gun would more than counter his lack of skill.

He can also go in there and win some of the hard ball which will always help out Lenny and Ball...

So that makes in 3 of his last 4 games
Leon Davis
Jared McVeigh
Andrew McLeod.

Obviously the coching panel believe he can do the job on some of the oppositions' most dangerous players.

me too. the guy shows signs of becoming a very good shutdown artist. he is quick and his tackles stick.

He may have had an off night but Lyon's instructions on keeping him away from the game by dragging him deep worked a treat!

I can't believe that Clint Jones is not rated on this forum (generally speaking) as highly as I rate him. He's a really good footy player and he 1)finds the ball 2)works hard off the ball and is generally in the right spot when needed. His skills have clearly improved and he is easily in our best 22 now. Our best rookie pick up in a long while (prob since Milne really)
