Without going into too much detail I thought he did well tonight, and was that his first goal in AFL football?

Did a great job to create a contest on a number of occasions. peeled off his man and held the ball up for the troops to arrive. Confidence got up and disposal improved as a result I thought.

Maybe this year?

Far out, I think that goal papered over the cracks.

Watch the first half again, he was woeful. Turnover after turnover.

Very true...

Whilst it was a terrific goal, he really struggled throughout the match, and in a team list of 22, he is definetly no.22 IMO... Has a long long was to go...

As soon as one of Raph, Max or X are ready to really go, Geary should have a good run in the 2's...

Without any real seconds matched lately, it'd be tough to bring in a Steven or another youngster in, but the ice is thin...

Correct, first goal of AFL football, and it was a ripper too. Congrats on the goal, but i too feel he's not quite up for it. Its a hard one for the coaches though because the only way to prepare him fully for AFL is to get AFL games into him consistently.
Big inclusions may see him back to the twos- until then i'd probably persist with him.

watch the second half again and you will see that he was very very influencial. His body work and tackling was awesome in that second half.

Still work in progress but is improving

It's just good to have numbers competing for spots. They've got them ready, they play, we see what they can do, and they manage accordingly.

'Tis good.

Or, you could watch the second half again, where he was good. His two halves were poles apart.

After he kicked that goal (and it was a great goal too), really noticed he started taking the game on much harder and being more relaible. Settled down with some confidence?

We'll see in the next couple of games whether he can carry it forward and it becomes a turning point for him.
