Is Schnieder slow???

Post: # 717486Post BigMart »

A bit like Guerra's second season....

He seems to be getting tackled whilst taking every kick...he gets run down from behind heading to goal almost every time......and he is handballing a lot more these days....which is a sign of slowness...

Milne also seem to be under pressure on disposal when running into goal a straight line, however he still has the side to side that gives him space...

Rioli actually runs away from defenders......defenders seem to catch and pressure our small fwds

If we have players that aren't suited to the modern game then we need to churn.............

Will the Saints ever be classed as a good club ?

I'd be more worried about Milne. Only value if he kicks a goal. Adds nothing else.

Schneider is not slow...but he is not quick either.

However he is a smart...and freakish footballer when on song.

With an interupted pre-seas he is only starting to run into match condition...as is Roo.

so he should get better and better over the next few weeks..

With all due respect..rubbish.

His pressure on the ball carrier is first rate so far this year , and a lot more of his tackles are sticking

Thought his defensive game terrific tonight

I think you missed all the chasing and pressure he put on tonight. He has improved hugely in this regard.

Maybe. But I'm still not convinced. He did ok in the 4th.

Schneider will go close to getting a vote from me tonight. Thought he started OK and got better as the game went on

I don't agree with the slow tag, kicked 2 vital goals tonight.

Reads the play very well and is able to set his team mates up deeper in the forward line.
Plays a very similar role to Milney, but is asked to do so further up the ground.

I was close to breaking something when he was caught by Johncock while running into that open goal.

Yes..I was not happy then either.

Still he just needsa few games to get his timing and judgement in match conditions going....

It won't fall away if you add to it.....

Can I not make an observation, without having a wank about a player...are they all perfect

Of course, but could you possibly wait until just a little bit longer before you do

Laid 3 tackles again last night, did a great job of chasing and making sure they weren't getting free run.

It's never going to be the lynchpin of his game, he's about the offense and it wasn't a great night at the office for him goals wise... as seems to be his way interstate (still, but for the clock he would have had his prescribed 2 goals).

schneiderman is too busy telling everyone else what to do...he seems to point and yell at everyone and if i was on the footy field i would tell him to shove it

he looks slow and one sided at the moment...drifts in and out of matches way too easily

Schnieder was great after the game too, getting around to all the kids in the Stadium Room.
