SPECIAL: Inside St Kilda (Friday night, Channel 7)

For those of you not able to make it to AAMI Stadium on Friday night, make sure you set your dial to Channel 7 for their coverage of the game. Not only will you be able to follow our Saints against the Crows, but you will also witness special (and exclusive) behind the scenes footage outlining a week in the life of a St Kilda player - see the players as you have never seen them before!

Channel 7 has spent a week with the players and Football Department to capture the essence of St Kilda and what it's like to pull on the red, white and black jumper. A special seven minute package will air in Seven's pre-game broadcast, as well as a half time feature and other snippets throughout the telecast.

- Get inside the rooms after St Kilda's Round 1 win over Sydney
- Up close and personal with the boys at recovery the following morning
- Training footage from Linen House Oval
- Feel the burn with the boys in the gym and experience the pain of ice baths
- Know what it's like inside the locker room

Is this going to be 7HD which is a delayed up in qld? Will the foxtel/austar broadcast have this? (I doubt that 7 will allow them to have that footage and rightly so) I bet qld wont get the extra stuff

As you may not be aware, the game is on DELAY on Channel 7.

Who wants a further delay at the pre-game stage just to show a doco?

Surely that can be saved for half-time.

That says that the 7 minute package will go to air BEFORE THE GAME, the 1/2 time feature will go to air AT 1/2 TIME and other snipets THROUGHOUT THE TELECAST !!

7 minute feature

Might not sound like much to some, but put in a different context its quite a lot:

The Average 30 sec ad during prime time footy broadcast would cost $10,000-$15,000 approx. That means that the club is getting the equilivant of $150,000-$200,000 worth of FREE advertising just for the 7 minute feature. Add all the other stuff and the club has done very nicely out of this, thank you very much !!

Yes delayed into Melbourne but AFAIK its live into Tasmania...so they cant extend the pregame any more than usual
