"We don't need to win the premiership this year....." well sorry Nick but in this loyal, long suffering supporter's opinion.....YES YOU DO!
to put in context he meant that the window will not be closed if they don't win it this year

Snipping lines to make them lose all context as above is why footy players won't give decent quotes anymore.Mooksy wrote:"We don't need to win the premiership this year....." well sorry Nick but in this loyal, long suffering supporter's opinion.....YES YOU DO!
Say something based on thought and response to a question rather than off the pre-scripted harmless spin sheet, and someone's going to come and truncate the comment so that it says something as far removes as possible from what you meant.

incorrect...who says he has to become a champion???McEvoy5 wrote:he needs to focus on his own game and become a champion.......... as far as im concerned about his performance
if he does he role in the team and better yet does it well...that doesnt constitute a champion
wanting him to become a champion is a problem with this football club...the need to have champion players...regardless of how the team is going
and if he is asked by the media homie...he is going to give an answer about the team...if he talked of nick dal santo you would be on his back saying that he isn't all in with the team and should be traded

Hopefully he's keeping his powder dry and will let his onfield performances speak for him.Animal Enclosure wrote:A typical wishy washy interview by Nick.
He rarely gives much that shows he's sick of the criticism & is going to make people eat their words. Sadly I think he's quite happy to plod along.
Sadly, I'm not holding my breath.

I must admit I had to read over it a couple of times I couldn't believe he said it. Very bad choice of words indeed but probably didn't mean it the way it was written.
If you can't give the commitment you gave this year and you don't want to improve, you can go because we have unfinished business-Ross Lyon
get off nick's back ffs....do you guys realise that he is one of the very few players in the afl to average over 100 points in each of the past 5 years in the hun's super footy competition......this year his average over the pre-season was 103.........
