NO... much happier with colm begley - far more astute pick....NOT!

We need to pick youth over experience as our premiership shot is apparently far over the horizon, wandering around out of mother duck's quack, not in the immediate future?

No Raph, no Armo. Heyne and Connors out too. Pretty close to a full strength side.

Yeah... but from the sounds of BJ's interview on 3AW, they're being very conservative with him and it's nothing major.

Fingers crossed.

Good to see Goose and Lynch named. Tad concerned with Armo's absence.

However - that squad has the look of the final knock-out stage of the First 22 For Round One Tournament.

Who would we take out of that list of 29 for our round one game against Sydney??

We would have to drop 7...

I would take out L Fisher, Begley, McQualter, Lynch, Gwilt, Jones and Dawson

However, ud expect to have Raph and Armo in the round one side, so that means dropping two more... this is harder than first expected!!

I have a feeling Goose maybe behind Dawson at the moment but if he does well this week they will probably play him. Also think they will play Begley but have no idea who could be left out for him.

At least it aint a bad feeling struggling to decide who is left out!! I would much prefer this than struggling to decide who to play in the place of another injured player!

I would be very surprised to see Rooey line up this week, also wouldn't be surprised to see Kosi, Max and maybe another one or two players miss out.

He's done it before. And Goose will probably only play about 1/2 a game. They can share the spot. When Goose is on the ground Blakey can perform other tasks !!

i find it strange that we have a pretty good defence yet already in our back 6 are two recruits who imo haven't shown much ever...

big ask...

I spoke to a player after training and they said that because we already have had a week off between games (and we have a week off after Port) that there was no need for rest. I also think match practice is vital...especially considering our starts over the last three/your year - 4/7 anyone? I would imagine only niggles would be rested.
