Big ask for Blake!!!
He's done it before. And Goose will probably only play about 1/2 a game. They can share the spot. When Goose is on the ground Blakey can perform other tasks !!
i find it strange that we have a pretty good defence yet already in our back 6 are two recruits who imo haven't shown much ever...
big ask...
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Don't tell me. I bet it has something to do with back and hamstring!

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

agree with the playing a coaching group on this one. Despite going to adelaide twice there is no reason not to be 4-1 afer 5 rounds (split the road trips).CeilidhSaint wrote:I spoke to a player after training and they said that because we already have had a week off between games (and we have a week off after Port) that there was no need for rest. I also think match practice is vital...especially considering our starts over the last three/your year - 4/7 anyone? I would imagine only niggles would be rested.

I know he's a favourite on here but if he's out for this afternoons game I wouldn't have thought he's done enough to earn a spot for round 1. We've fielded a stronger team than the previous week in every game so far with the intention of hitting the ground running rather than getting off to a sluggish start.saint66au wrote:So...Armo not playing..would this be.....
Already done enough and locked in for Rnd 1?
Injured and not being risked?
Not in the mix for Round 1??
Thoughts?
I suppose we have to bear in mind that any fringe/returning players will still have the opportunity to play for the Zebras next weekend in an attempt to mount a case for a spot in the round 1 team.

Hard to predict i guess, but last week he came back from his slight injury, so maybe they dont want to risk him this week - perhaps theyre giving him time with the zebras?? Give him a better run that way...saint66au wrote:So...Armo not playing..would this be.....

I dunno... its all speculative i guess
be very suprised if raph doesn't play, I hazard a guess that they are going easy with his body.saint66au wrote:So..
R Clarke
McQualter
Watts
Amitage
McEvoy
Lynch
Our last 6 first-round picks...and its quite likely none of them will be playing Round 1 2009
Back luck with injuries? Depth? Poor recruiting?
Macca is a ruckman and lynch is being treated slowly slowly...
interesting stat all the same
