on gaining Life membership at the St Kilda Football Club
a great achievement and I appreciate the commitment you have made to St Kilda and as was stated at your presentation you are the embodiment of what the NEW Harvey medal means.

can anyone confirm that the last player to achieve this did so as he was walking out the door?

or has there been others since the former #10 got it?

Max has been at the club for a couple of years longer than Lenny so I presume he would already have his life membership.

However I must agree that the difference in the character of Everitt and Hayes is striking.

It's funny, despite the fact that he was overlooked by the Swans the first time they surely must have tried to tempt him back home over the years. Unfortunately for them when you have the character and the integrity that Lenny has you're wasting your time.

Congrats Lenny. And all I can say is that Everitt only asked for what was his in the first place.

Love Lenny. His aggression and passion is immense. Courageous and will be up there with Harves as one of the most unlucky players to not win a flag, if we should not win one in the next few years.

Congrats to him.

I just love Lenny, thats no surprise. But he has a split personality! The Lenny Hayes footballer, tough and aggresive on the ground gives his all. Lenny Hayes off field, soft caring and generous of his time. Just love him and so glad hes a Sainter.

Couldn't agree more St. Bev, the contrast between his on field aggressiveness & off field manner is amazing. Wish we had more like him. I'm glad the Swans overlooked him in the draft.
