Ticketmaster Outlet closures info

Post: # 702765Post saintspremiers »

FYI - as this relates to Telstra Dome and our ticketing (MCG will be Ticketek just to confuse you all!) - Ticketmaster/wanker has decided to close ALL outlets in ALL Myer stores for some reason (internet I'm guessing!).

I've found this out as I purchased a ticket from a Myer outlet for the cancelled Day on The Green concert, and now need to go to a suburban newsagency outlet to get a refund.

Lesson learnt is - don't buy from outlets, buy over the net, they are a useless incompetent organisation. I can't contact them on their 13 number, always busy, no emails sent re what to do if your outlet has been closed, and the silly cnuts couldn't be arsed just refunded my credit card and invalidating my useless tickets! Talk about living in the Dinosaur age!

Intersting info SP..certainly news to me...

I guess the increase in Internet ticketing and being able to use Ticketfast has eroded the need for outlets.

Gotta say I havent use an outlet for aaages. I'm an impatient person at the best of time and the process of standing behind Ethel from Camberwell as she spends 30 mins getting her MSO tickets was gonna send me round the bend any day.

Thats going to be a nuisance. We've got our reserved seats for home games but for away games I prefer to go into an outlet because when I've looked to purchase on the net its only given me options for "best available" seating or budget seating. I don't want the budget seats and unfortunately thier idea of best available is not the same as mine. I like to sit as close as possible to the boundary and at the outlet I can just ask them to see if there are any seats available in Row A.

There are still outlets open, but not in Myer.

Thanks saintspremiers. Had intended to check out outlets but hadn't got round to it. Good to see that there is still a local outlet handy at balls 'n bumpers Geelong, which I might add is my favourite place locally for Saints gear. ( and no I have no connection to the business, but they are just really friendly and there are not too many places in Geel that sells our stuff).
