The Age

Post: # 701227Post R. Harvey 3 votes! »

Hi

I applied for the special offer subscription for the age where you pay $25 and have the age delivered friday to sunday for 12 months. I received it for the first weekend and then haven't received it for the past four days...you ring them on the phone and wait for half an hour and they hang up anyway. Finally we got through again and have cancelled our subscription and are getting a full refund. Time to subscribe to the herald sun!

Go saints

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

I've never had any problems. Usually when you stop getting delivery it is your newsagents fault and nothing to do with the Age.

Time to subscribe to the herald sun

Subscribe to the herald sun if you want to read about Collingwood every second day.

The age Subscription of $25 for a year comes down to 48 cents a week or 12 cents per paper. That is great value. On Saturday the whole front page of the Sports section was on the Saints.

Subscribe to the Age because they sponsor us. i f you aren't receiving the paper it probably means your newsagent has stuffed up.

Had a few problems early on when we started subscribing when the offer first came out a couple of years ago, but it was our newsagent stuffing up, not the Age.

This is definitely a local newsagent problem
You should have got a ltr confirming the subscription and on it is your local newsagent details
We used this to hold our deliveries over Christmas.

We had a problem where the delivery man was chucking into our roses and called our newsagent. They chuck it in the driveaway now !!!

You won't get the Hun for a year, 4 days a week for 25 bucks.

Also with the Age you don't have to read Sheehan every day.

l would buy THE AGE on a regular basis if it were more managable.
Trying to read it outside with a slight breeze is just hopeless. In the confines of the dunny or the car...forget it.
You need to be indoors with plenty of tablespace/floorspace with windows & doors shut.
Good paper, but it's too much of a battle to read it.
Broadsheet belongs in the past. They would sell many more papers if it were to go tabloid size.

It was pleasing to see part of what The Age is giving the saints

for every subscription- $25
The Age gives $15 back to the Saints

so as well as saving each Saints family over $300 the club gets $$$$

well that's a shame - saints need all they can get.

I wonder if you can make sure they have paid the saints the $15 before you unsubscribe-

$25 for the whole year with $15 going to the Saints is great..

I will never stop that deal as long as it's on the table.

The Club and The Age may offer more next year to non members to encourage new membership

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

We read the sport section during the footy season and don't even unwrap it for the rest of the year, but its an easy way to support our club, and at that price just reading part of it for part of the year, we are still getting good value from it.
We are often not in a position financially to do as much as we would like to support the club, so as long as the Saints are getting a cut we'll continue to subscribe as an easy way to do our bit.
